Its a TRS/Midi cable, and it works. Connectors are good quality and overall its well made. Its convenient length for pedalboard (where I guess it will be used most), and it seems durable.
I have used it with the smaller Strymon pedals, that don't have a regular Midi DIN connector. Unsurprisingly, it just worked. I have not tried any other brands that use MIDI TRS sockets (often, they are 3.5mm anyway), but I assume it would work too.
The cable comes in other combinations of angled or straight connectors. Be aware that in most Strymon pedals, the sockets are close together, and if you use this version (with the angled TRS), its likely to end up angled down or up (not to the side). Angled down it will project below the bottom on the pedal (which is ok on my pedalboard), and angled up, it makes the cable a little vulnerable. Consider getting the straight connector if that's going to be an issue for you.
The only negative point here is the price.

it does the job

it does the job. just consider that it is not super flexible and placing this cable into a pedal board might not be the easiest thing to do, but a part from that it is a really well built cable.
