This pedal exceeded all my expectations. Within 30' of playing, it replaced my previous reverb on my pedal board and I predict it will stay there for the foreseeable future. Speaking of pedalboards, I knew it was small (especially compared with other Strymon pedals) but not THAT small. It is really compact and absolutely pedalboard friendly.
But there's so much more than that. Its sound is astonishingly good. The notorious "ensemble" setting is very unique sounding and very musical. Not a simple octave reverb, not a shimmer effect, but something with a character of its own. Also, it can be used as a "simple" reverb, it can get really discreet but with maintaining its excellent quality and character. The Mod nob functions in a very musical way and adds more texture and uniqueness.
I play a lot of drone and dissonant music and Cloudburst paired with the mini-switch in "infinite" mode is a stunning tool.
Overall, it is one of those "what you pay is what you get" cases. On the expensive side of things, for sure, but worth every cent. Excellent on every level.
PS: Thomman outdid themselves in delivery speed. Literally just a few days to receive my parcel and I don't even live in Germany. Companies based where I live don't even deliver that fast.
