Couldn't make it work as I wanted
Kio Epi 16.08.2023
I've tried to upgrade my Epiphone by replacing the bridge adapter with this Seymour Duncan. First I got confused with the wiring instructions provided but then I've managed to install it. Well... it sounded worse than the original Epiphone adapter. It had a very sharp sound, beyond normal sharp. Is also has more noise than the Epiphone one. I gave it some time and played with it for a couple of months only to find that I began avoiding playing with this guitar. So as a result I've put the original adapter and this one is gathering first on a shelf.

IMO sounded terrible with normal E tuning guitar. Too sharp, fuzzy and shrieking high.
I tuned down to C and gave it a shot and now I am very pleased. It compensates well with down tuned thick strings so that the sound wont turn to mud making the guitar cut through very nicely.
Overall quality is very good. Seymour Duncan pick ups are made to last.

Sounds great in an all-mahogany LPs

Sounds great in a darker LP such as the all-mahogany Gibson Les Paul Custom 57 reissue
