Very good strings indeed, i've been a really long time user of these gauge, from a sound standpoint they've changed a lot in the last year. The tone is piano like, they are very crisp as known, i bought these strings mainly for the very open sounding E, and now they don't sound open. I was looking for a John Enstwistle kind of sound, and this time they disappointed me. If you are searching that tone, this strings gonna help you very much, but the E string is really bad.

Bass strings

I bought these as an alternative to the Thomastik Jazz flatwounds that I usually use. Impressed by how smooth they felt and the warm, punchy tone. Plenty of bottom end and not too bright. Greatly prefer these to D'Addario roundwounds I have used in the past. These strings definately live up to their reputaion as the 'go to' roundwound for 'traditional' finger-playing bassists.

Great sound but a bit uncomfortable to play

The strings have a super nice brightness and they keep that brightness for a while. They felt a bit stiffer than I've expected, I'll try a lighter gauge next time.

The bass strings that made history for their bright, deliciously snarling tone. I periodically try some new brands, but ultimately keep coming back to Rotosound. Best strings ever.

The vintage look

The red fabric tip always add a nice touch of colour, but they get fluffy quite quickly.
Other than that these sound great, sharp, bright and long lasting.
