Bass Strings
ProgBass 03.01.2010
Those strings are not very even and many say they harm your fingers a bit as they are hard to play because of its rough surface. Well it is kinda true on the one hand, on the other hand those strings are not too hard to pull and they are great to play. Those strings are historical, developed with the help of John Entwistle and played by Prog Rock Giants like Chris Squire and Geddy Lee.
Strung onto the bass being new and fresh they do not have much bass and are very unique and perfect for Rickenbackers and Jazz Basses. Those strings tend to lose their highs very quickly and then sound very different. So everyone should decise onself if you like them or not.

On the search of strings for my Fender Jazz Bass I was talking to a lot of musician and my bassteacher a very professional bassplayer said that the Rotosound RS66LD where very good strings for a veery good price. So i bought them and I am happy with them. Very smooth playing and long lifetime. Thumbs up
