Roland Laptop Stand

Positives:

Table is a good size. I use a 17”notebook & I still have “just” enough room to use a mouse.
Personally, I prefer the mouse beside the laptop not underneath.
The padded lock brackets for the notebook are height adjustable & secure, fitted in a sliding slot so that they don’t twist and they adjust to the length of any computer.
This is a very stable stand and the locknuts have a good feel so that you don’t have to over tighten.
The stand adjusts from seated to full lectern height, so it is easy to use without straining your back.
The stand has a stop fitted so that you can’t overextend & have it come apart.

Negatives:

The most negative thing is packing it away. You can remove one bolt from the table & it will pivot down, however it’s still too wide & you need to remove both bolts to take off the table.
There was no reason that I can see that they couldn’t have made this with a quick release.
I would also have been nice if it came with a carry bag.
The tripod legs are hard to extend, however this might be just because it’s new.
One of the padded lock brackets for the computer needs to be opened almost completely in order to fit in & remove the notebook. If they had widened the slot to a hole at one end, then you could just loosen & twist the bracket out of the way. This would be much easier.
Also, there is no lip or feature on the table to stop your mouse or phone or external drive from falling off should it get a knock or be subject to vibration.

All in all it’s a good sturdy table & I’m glad I bought it.
I’ve fixed the lip problem & the locking bracket, so I’m happy enough.
I think it would be well worth the money if they fixed the negatives. But considering what’s out there, It’s probably still worth it.

Better than the cheaper versions, but expensive and not sure if the difference adds up to the difference. But I wanted a Roland to sit with the kit and not seem out of place. Maybe I am a bit of o poser ?all in all very well made
