Effective windscreen
PatoDK 10.06.2021
I use this in Denmark, a place known for its strong winds. The windscreen works fine in most situations outdoors, as long as the wind doesn't exceed ~15 m/s. Great product overall.

Very Handy.

I bought this windshield to accompany my Rode NTG1 mic, it fits perfectly not only onto the mic but also into my small portable sound bag, the WS6 does a good job of reducing wind noise & also protecting the mic from those inevitable bumps & scrapes.
It is well made & looks great, however, it does tend to lose a few hairs from time to time, not enough to worry about, but is perhaps something the Rode could address in future upgrades. I highly recommend this shield, it has become another permanent feature of my sound bag.

I use the rode ws6 on a sennheiser mkh 416 and it works really good in both interior and exterior. I love it for being sturdy and lightweight.
There's nothing bad that I say about the ws6.
Great product

Not great in strong wind
Natasha E. 18.06.2014
I live in windy Ireland and even in medium strong wind the windshield is not much use. I don't do sound professionally, just for some of my video work, so it is ok. But if you want more wind protection it would be better to get proper blimp cage
