Rockstand RS20880 Guitarstand

3-Way Multi-Stand

Would you prefer many individual stands that take up lots of space, or a single, compact solution?

The Rockstand offers an inexpensive alternative with space for 3 guitars - ideal for the rehearsal room and studio - and it works great on stage too of course, but for this we would recommend the tourworthy case option - also by Rockstand.

Useless piece of junk.
TrEr 21.08.2019
I got this because it was the 3x guitar stand with the narrowest width. Big mistake.

The holes in the bottom frame don't line up properly so the whole thing is completely lopsided after installation.

The metal is so soft that you can't even tighten the screws without bending stuff. And I'm not talking about the metal in the screws. I'm talking about the metal in the FRAME. It bends inwards, causing the paint to flake off if you try to tighten the screws properly.

Oh, and the top frame, the one where the guitar necks are supposed to rest... The mounting frame is made of PLASTIC. Which obviously cracks when you try to force it onto the crooked bottom.

The whole thing is so crooked that guitars don't rest properly inside the stand. The angles are all wrong. There's no way to make the guitars sit properly on the bottom supports so they just fall sideways into each other in the stand.

Horrible quality, AVOID!

It was cheap but in this case you don't even get what you pay for. Get a K&M or something else instead. This one is utterly useless. I'm actually shocked that a serious retailer such as Thomann sells this junk.

RP
A great guitar stand for the price
Robert Peterson 10.10.2020
I bought one of these a few years ago and had no hesitation in purchaing a second one when the need arose. Stable, soft, lightweight and reliable, this thing is great for your guitars. My only gripe is that the leg portion of the unit nearest the guitar's bottom didn't have any protective foam on it, but that was remedied with a quick trip to a store to put some padded bicycle grips in place.
This stand - like many other guitar stand designs - was NOT made for Flying V or Explorer shaped guitars, but if your guitar has the "round bottom" of a Strat, Les Paul or one of the millions of similarly-shaped bodies, this guitar stand will serve you well.

Unstable with time

I can't recommend the stand if you're going to be on the road with it or using whatever you put in on it very often. It's ok if you're going to pick up your instruments once in a while and if you have further support (for example if it's on a corner or next to a wall).

A
Absolute cr*p !!
Anonymous 02.03.2017
Under no rcumstances think about how practical this might be - it`s not...

Construction is very poor, there are sharp edges to the plastic mouldings which I have had to trim off. One of the plastic caps holding the foam in place on the top pegs was split so it kept falling off until I finally got fed up and glued it on permanently. Within a week one of the screws holding the top part to the base disappeared despite having a nylon locking nut and being fitted with a washer.

All in all a seriously bad decision on my part to order this thinking it would be better than carrying three separate stands into a venue .. NOT !
