This is an amazing USB Audio Interface. I've always trusted the RME brand. These guys can make the best possible hardware and affordable prices considering the features and benefits they offer. The RME Babyface Pro FS is no exception.
It's got pristine sound quality. Great quality of conversion in both the DAC and ADC sides. Stable clock technology from the new SteadyClock FS. Great transparent preamps. Great outputs for the headphones. Incredibly low levels of low noise and distortion.
Best performance and low latency. No hiccups of any kind. Can use extremely low audio buffer sizes as low as 48 or 64 samples, without any issues in Ableton Live 10 Suite and Logic Pro X.
Rock solid USB drivers. It's always reliable and trusty.
Awesome quality of construction. Built from a solid block of aluminum and the highest standards. Buttons, meters, dial control, cables, connections are all very nice, stable. Feels durable enough for many years to come.
Comes in solid black carrying case.
Great included software with TotalMix FX and others.
Only pros with this audio interface. There are no cons. Prices is fair for all that it offers.

A big step up from my Focusrite 2i2. The babyface is expensive but the cheapest RME make. The sound quality is top notch. MIDI in and out plus ADAT make it highly versatile. I’m using it with an Evo SP8 to record drum kits using 9 microphones and it has performed flawlessly. Lots of YouTube videos on how tricky the TotalMix software is. It took me an hour or so messing about to get the hang of it. Once you do though it’s fantastic software. There is a reason this little interface comes out on top in numerous reviews. An added advantage it that it is compact enough to combine with an iPad for a portable high quality recording solution. If you don’t want to spend over a thousand euro this is the one to go for.

RME Top in their game
Michael1970 16.06.2020
I use RME for 20 years now. No reason to look elsewhere. Their product is still top, audio quality is excellent, hardware based on previous experience should be long lasting(at least 10 years). Most importantly is there is long term support for their products. They don't just abandon an audio card after 2 years like others. Also they let their software and hardware people experiment to optimize staff. They results is that their drivers are ultra stable compared to other manufacturers who don't give their devs enough time to fix staff before moving to the next great thing. In short this Babyface Pro FS is what you expect if your used RME in the past, stability , good drivers, long term support, not cheap components on the pcb. I am not affiliated with RME in any way just a happy customer

Great DA AD conversion & sound quality!
Christos Pappas 02.07.2022
Great D/A A/D conversion which by the way most people get overlooked on but in a hybrid studio combined with analog gear that is one of the most important elements. Total mix effects is great you can route everything literally and with very low close to (non existent) 0 latency. Would like the option of compression also available on total mix fx as with ufx models. Outputs are a bit of an issue but you can adat it with another - make sure DA conversion is equivalent to RME as with a focusrite is day to night- had to do lots of tests routing my neve gear and api and AB them and seems that RME wins on that matter. It’s built is solid & great to take it with tou wherever you wish to record! Oh and have to state that as long as RME has great audio interfaces their customer support is the less sufficient to put it politely. Great delivery & support from Thomann as always.
