Classic (but also versatile) sound from a classic head
Anonymous 05.12.2014
The remo pinstripe has been in my life for as long as I can remember. It gets a decent sound out of entry level beginner drums, and a good sound out of good drums. But something that not everyone will know is that it gets an unbelievably good sound out of quads or multi-tenors (for marching bands / drum corps). The tonal clarity and projection you get is second to none. Obviously it's better to use the dedicated marching version with the crimplock hoop, but it's essentially the same head, just a little stronger at the point of attachment. If you haven't heard pinstripes cranked up to high tension, then you haven't heard them at their very best. But even at normal tensions they are a solid, reliable drumhead.

R
Resistant, perfect for hard hitters
Reminiscence 16.04.2020
• Very thick and resistant
• Just enough decay to have a nice short rumble
• Full sound only when played hard**
**Perfect if you play punk, rock, metal or anything where playing loud and moving a lot on stage will be appreciated!
I wouldn't say they're louder than the Ambassadors Clear. They just make you play differently (harder) to get the same volume and will resist much more!
Would buy again!

VB
Snappy and durable
Vincent Black 03.08.2016
The Pinstripe Clear is one of my go-to heads for a maple floor-tom when I need a rich, lively tone with that extra attack but not compromising on beefy lows. I use this drum head for recording and I am very pleased with the results. This head is rather versatile - does not get flabby when tuned low and does not choke up when tuned high. The outer layer dampens some of the overtones, if tuned correctly that's all the dampening I need for recording. This drum head is very durable and retains its tone for a long time which works great in the studio environment. This head will suit a broad range of genres, if you like clear heads for extra stick attack and want extra durability - the Pinstripe is the product you should definitely try.

A heavy duty drum head
Sunshine1 06.08.2018
I use the drum head for my toms and they sound deep and low with little overtone. Best to use these for rock or musical styles on the heavier side. The quality is great, never had anything other than wear and tear, which also happens really slowly. This is a real heavy duty drum head.
