I have always played Remo. I find their heads reliable, durable, have lots of tone, wide tuning range, and hold the tuning well. I do not feel the need to switch brands. Recommended!

lively and open sounding

I switched from pinstripes to ambassadors as I needed a more open and lively sound on my toms. These are a great head and for a single ply they are quite tough. The coating does come off in the centre after a while, but they remain playable.

Pair them with clear ambassadors on the bottoms and you have a great lively sound.

Great tonal skin for snare

I used this to replace the stock skin on my snare. The skin has a great tone and the coating provides enough damping so I don't need to dampen it further with rings. The coating wore out pretty quickly but while it was on it, the snare sounded great.
