Economic, stylish and with sold plated contacts
Anonymous 26.02.2014
I use Rean connectors on most of my studio equipment because they are relatively cheap, yet provide great sounding results. The gold plating on the contacts doesn't seem to wear off and the plugs themselves are solid yet light, which stops them putting too much strain on the jack sockets they are plugged into. The only negative thing is that on these straight type of jacks, the outside barrel can unscrew quite easily if not sufficiently tightened, so I use a drop of thread lock on them -to be absolutely sure. There are also no spring-strain reliefs at the ends of the plug, which although has had no negative effects for me, it can leave the plug looking a bit 'incomplete'. I put a length of heat shrink tubing over the inside terminals and extend this to about an inch outside of the plug to provide the relief and like this these plugs are absolutely faultless.

If you want to make your own stereo cable with a specific length, all you need is some stereo cable, some soldering equipment and some time.

This has become my standard TRS connector in studio applications. For guitar cords I would rather use something like a Neutrik NP2 with a better grip and a heavier strain relief, but this connector is perfect for connecting studio equipment because it is very easy to solder and assemble, and the connector uses less space (in my interface, for example, the output connections are very close to each other).

Excellent long last quality
deankolic 29.05.2023
Excellent long last quality, decent, they are not big so are suitable for different instruments and different devices. The ground connector is made of a thicker material, so it can be relied on both for soldering and for attaching cables.
The high-quality plastic separates the poles, and is resistant to higher temperatures that occur with soldering, so soldering does not cause damage. Which is the most important thing.

quite normal connector
Lina L. 10.07.2014
This is not a very sturdy plug, however the connectors are good enough of quality. I only use these plugs with short cables, and only for motionless communication. They are cheap but the connection is reliable enough. I use them - and i did not have a big problems.
