I've used the AOC for 8 months and it is very reliable. A mirrorless camera can run the transmitting end with no issues from its micro-HDMI port (through a micro-HDMI to HDMI adapter). They even work if you connect them together to extend the length. I've completely replaced my SDI setup with this, and I have no complaints. The only way this cable could fail is if you use it on ATEM mini switchers, as the switcher heat management is very poor and the HDMI ports get extremely hot, which could shorten the lifespan of the cable's receiver. I've modified my switcher so that it runs the internal fan on max (I cut the blue wire on the fan connector) and now the HDMI ports are cool and I expect the transceiver to last much longer. I would definitely recommend this cable over any SDI solution. Just make sure to wind it using over-under technique, to reduce the stress on the optical fibers inside.
