I bought this cable so I could plug my Kurzweil PC3K8 via SPDIF to my new RME UFX+.

I didn't have to do any setting up in RME's TotalMix FX software. The cable (that is, my PC3K8) was recognized immediately, and audio was sent to RME. RME being the master, also sent the clock to PC3K8.

Easy peasy. Happy camper here. Get this if you need to attach SPDIF to your interface with AES/EBU inputs.

I use this to connect my Line 6 POD HD 500x to my RME UFX via digital out on the POD. Works like a charm. It has helped with the cable management as well.
