I debated this purchase for a long time due to the high cost, but when I recently left my viola shoulder rest in another country, I decided to bite the bullet. It was a further sting when I ended up spending another 40 EUR or so for the shorter leg to make the rest fit properly. You would think Pirastro would let you customize the height, or just throw in an additional shorter leg. Also, I don't find this product as bendable as they seems to suggest. I've already tried with reasonable force and am afraid to apply further force. While the jury is still out on whether the Korfker rest is really worth its price, I'm keeping it for the moment because I absolutely love how light it is. It changes my entire perception of the viola's overall weight. And for a small person who plays both viola and violin, this is a definitely selling point.
