Not what I expected
Active Guitar 10.11.2024
I use a Vox Adio Air GT practicing amp 6 years ago and love it, I mostly play at home. But I missed the FX loop and a bit more power and bass range because its relatively small speaker can’t deliver it.
I watched the demo of the Mighty 60 Mk II on YT channel “intheblues” and it was pretty impressive.
So I decided to order it. Delivery was quick.
However, even if I spent many hours to experiment with the different settings, I just couldn’t get that tones what I expected based on the review.
You need a smartphone, tablet or computer to access the modeling parameters. I used an iPad and the app worked quite awkwardly. First of all, it works only in one position of the tablet (portrait mode), so you can’t rotate the screen. The app is probably the same that developed for iPhones, so the UX design is not optimized for tablets. The controls are too big and arranged weird, like the 10 band EQ has 3 different “pages”, you can’t see them all, even a tablet screen size is more than enough to organize them.
When you switch from one channel to an other in the app and forget to save the previous modifications, they get lost. It’s also an annoying UX error.
Also, the amp doesn’t remember some settings after turning off and on again. The power level (a kind of attenuator for 0.5W, 5W and full, that is a very useful feature when using at home and you don’t want the neighbors get mad) always return to the highest settings, so you can be surprised if you forget to push the button to reduce it.
But the biggest problem was that on certain frequencies (145-200 Hz notes) the amp has a very annoying buzz, mechanical type, probably some loose or improperly fixed parts. I tried it with different guitars and it was the same.
So I gave it up and decided to return it.

Useless as you cant save patches without a phone connected!
Rustyguitars 27.10.2024
I bought this after purchasing the smaller 20w practice version, which is brilliant.

I bought this hoping to have the same sounds at gig volume. Unfortunately (confirmed by nux) there is no way to save changes to presets/scenes without an attached phone. So if you alter the eq on the amp, you lose changes with no way to save them when changes scenes.

As a gigging amp with more than 1 channel this lack of ability to save changes makes it useless.

Really NUX, its a very very simple fix...
