This is the perfect XLR socket (inner plastic part) if you want to modify/repair any mic (except Shure mics). I used the idea from beyerdynamic TG D58/59 - I took the beyerdynamic MKV 87 and the Neutrik XLR socket and modify it, so that I can connect the mic cable not straight to the mics (TG D35 and TG D50).
