Space-saving workstation

The Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk is a compact workstation, specifically designed to meet the demands of both recording and music production. The workstation offers a 120cm wide working surface, a raised shelf for a monitor and a pair of studio speakers, and a pull-out tray for a small master keyboard. Two internal 19" racks, each with five rack units, allow the installation of additional audio interfaces, preamps, and other hardware. If you are looking for a compact and well-organised working environment at home or in a project studio, the Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk is a real bargain.

Space-efficient design

The Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk's raised shelf is 120cm wide, like the working surface, thus providing ample space for a single monitor and two compact nearfield monitor speakers commonly used in home and project studios. The two 19" racks, each with five rack units, are located centrally under the shelf, so that built-in hardware can be easily accessed from the workstation at any time. The pull-out keyboard shelf, measuring 1005 x 400mm, can accommodate a small master keyboard or other controllers. A very handy feature are the headphone holders attached to both sides of the desk. A slightly more spacious alternative to the SD-120 is the Millenium SD-180 StudioDesk, with a 180cm wide working surface.

Ideal for home and project studios

In most home and project studios, space is not used exclusively for music production. As a result, the setup of the studio is often a trade-off. The Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk offers a cost-effective alternative to such permanently improvised workstations. It is designed to accommodate as much equipment as possible within the smallest space imaginable, thus providing a well-organised workspace. This makes it interesting for all creative artists who need a compact and cost-effective workstation for composition, recording, and music production.

About Millenium

Millenium is one of Thomann’s in-house brands and has been an integral part of the store’s range since 1995. More than 800 products – from drums and percussion through to accessories such as microphone stands, racks, and recording workstations – bear the Millenium label. These products are made by renowned companies who also manufacture products for other well-known brands. Since they are imported directly from the factory without any further distributors or sales companies, they can be sold at particularly attractive prices. Incidentally, one in every four Thomann customers has already purchased at least one Millenium product.

They don't get much more compact than this

The Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk is a great choice for any setting where a workstation for music production needs to fit into the smallest space possible. This can apply to the living room or hobby room at home, for example, but a rehearsal room for bands or a recording studio can also be complemented by a compact side station for a recording or control room. Compared to a simple table with separate speaker stands, an adjacent master keyboard, and a potential 19" rack, the Millenium SD-120 StudioDesk saves a lot of space.

Decent for the price but forget about the racks.
allandbyallo 22.01.2022
I've had this a bit over one year now so figured good time for a review. Overall for the price the desk is great. I have an 11qm room that's quite narrow, so this was kind of the only option for me. I was excited about the racks as I have just a few small 19" tools (a/d/d/a, 3630) and plan on getting an Apollo x8 soon, some 90s rack effects, so forth.

Putting this thing together wasn't too difficult. a couple tough places to reach but overall kinda like Ikea advanced level tricks. So I get this thing all sorted, and yeah... as the reviews generally say, the height of the racks is totally absurd. I tried for a week and gave up, removed the whole thing and threw the rack away. Nonsense. So now it's a nice desk with a keyboard drawer at a good height. BUT 1 year later it's shaking around like crazy. I don't mind too much but definitely time to tighten some screws. It's particle board in there so not sure how much this will help.

Yeah, you get a decent desk for the price, if you have a narrow room I do recommend it, unless you can afford a custom desk. There's really nothing else that's this narrow and does the trick. I'm fine with it, but noting more than that.

A
Good quality, sturdy Studio desk
AndreasGeo 16.03.2021
I was looking for a way to "tidy up" my little home studio and this desk was exactly what was needed. I had an opening of exactly 1.20m and it fitted excellently (the only thing, I didn't fit the headphone hooks).
Plently of room for a keyboard, a mixer, a PC screen and monitors. One of the criticisms I read about before order was that the computer screen was sitting too high. I can see why this may bother some people, but it was definitely not a problem for me. If anything I like the fact that the screen is a little higher than I'm used to. If you are having any second thoughts about how this will sit at your space and if it is right for you, you can find detailed schematics with the dimensions of the desk within the Thomann page. That's what I did and found that it helped me a lot to make my final decision.
I was very pleasantly surprised by how sturdy and good-quality it is! At this price level, I was not expecting something high-end (and it isn't), but still, I'm very happy with the choice.
It was very easy to assemble, with the instructions being precise and easy-to-follow.

L
Amazed!
Letroy 12.04.2020
This desk has been in my Home Studio for almost a week now!
Yes, I was positively surprised about the quality for this desk!
At such a price, you wouldn't get an amazing quality anywhere else!!

Pros:
Stable, good looking and specifically made for musicians where they can at least fit their computer, monitor, speakers and some of the best 61 keys MIDI keyboards out there (I also got the M-Audio Oxygen 61 keys from Thomann which perfectly fits on this desk).

Cons:
Nothing so far, and I wouldn't look for anything else having only paid that much! Thank you Thomann for the best quality in the market
