Snare drum with a popping effect

Millenium SD105 10"x05" Steel Snare drum

Snare drum with a popping effect

The Millenium SD105 snare drum measures 10"x5" and has a steel shell that produces a popping effect. The hoops are held by twelve screws, which are housed in six lugs. The snare can be attached to a hi-hat or cymbal stand using the included mounting kit, which consists of rims, a multi-clamp, and an L-piece. If required, the included mounting system can also be easily removed using a tuning key and replaced with a conventional snare stand.

Good sound, good quality

The small steel snare makes a convincing case with a penetrating, crisp sound. The metallic basic tone, combined with a pronounced attack and short sustain, is perfect for playing fast and sophisticated snare patterns with precision. Despite the low price, you get a snare drum that scores points with a good sound and clean workmanship. A simple snare strainer can be seen on the shell, with which the tension of the 20-spiral snare carpet can be easily adjusted. The highly polished steel shell and the cleanly chrome-plated metal parts also ensure an appealing look.

Inexpensive purchase, lucrative addition

The sound of the Millenium SD105 is versatile and, depending on how you tune it, can be used in all kinds of music styles. Thanks to the combination of low purchase price and high quality, this steel snare drum offers both beginners and advanced drummers a small, lucrative addition to their own main snare. The included hardware also makes it very easy to mount the Millenium SD105 without additional equipment and to pursue your passion to your heart's content immediately after receiving it.

P
Excellent quality and value snare drum.
Patrick3551 24.01.2015
bought this snare drum to use as part of a drum/percussion set up, I have a similar wood shell but slightly smaller snare but it lacked punch as well as having short internal snares.
This drum is quite heavy for its size, but its very controllable now that I've changed the factory heads for Remo ones, which make a drastic improvement to the sound. I mike all instruments so was looking for a distinctive sound and I got it with this snare. I dont use the rims mount as I have a small stand that suits my needs better, but the mount with arm seems fairly sturdy, I can highly recommend this snare drum and at the price its very affordable and great value.

Can easily and convincingly used as main snare drum.
Anyway - quite a surprise for ¤ 68.

L
Good product

After receiving this snare, I notice that throw off is very hard and you need two hands for using it.
I added remo ambassador coated drum head on the top, I didn't change snares or bottom head. I must admit, that snare drum doesn't sound bad, I like to use it as a side snare and I am having a lot of fun using it. I think its worth the money.

B
Amazing value for the price!
Ben309 15.05.2013
The perfect side snare for those on a budget. I switched the factory head to the EVANS head of my choice and it sounded great. The mount is very posable as well, allowing me to mount the snare on my hi hat - no need for another snare stand!
A great budget drum.
Millenium make fantastic things.
