A decent arm for the money.
S.R.M 15.01.2022
I bought a Shure SM58 and simply wanted an arm stand for it. This option was inexpensive and seemed like it would fit the bill, so here we are! I've had this arm for 6 months, so I hope my long-term use is useful to some.

The good:

- The quality is decent. The metal is quite sharp in some places, but generally it feels sturdy enough. The clamp to the desk has never needed tightening or adjustment in the past 6 months, so that gets a good grade!

- Swivel options are fine. It's quite flexible and allows you to tighten both the mic section and the table clamp section. I have needed to re-tighten these several times a month, so they seem to be quite bad at staying tight (depends on your use though)

The bad:

- Arm likes to flop down randomly sometimes. This seems to be a common issue, but you do get what you pay for in the end.

- Sometimes it can also be hard for the arm to stay down! This is clearly down to the tension of the springs, but it can really be quite erratic on occasion.

- Cable management is non-existant. You can't expect every feature for such a cheap price!

If you need something cheap I would still recommend it. Personally I will be upgrading to a more expensive arm eventually. It's pretty good for the price, so I would say if you can't afford anything else, it's definitely still a good product!

strong enough

holds mics well and the structure is sturdy, but you'll have to tighten the screws quite often, otherwise it will slam in your face asap. and move the mic away from you too.

B
Outstanding Value!
Birdman888 05.10.2021
Very impressed with the quality of this mic arm, for the price paid. The base that clamps to your desk, alone is worth the cost. The workmanship & little details like the contoured rubber pad to protect your desk, the rock solid robust quality, along with the hand tightening grips, all what you would expect on something costing 3 times as much.

Over the years I've had similar articulated arms, on lamps & mics, they were often squeaky when moved & unstable when set. Contrast that with this Millenium unit, the springs, joints, rails & flat black finish are far from the flimsy stuff you'd expect at this price.

Most importantly, it set up in seconds, my mic is always exactly where I want it, even micro adjustments in distancing render the mic at the precise point I placed it. Ever bump your desk? No problem, the stability is impeccable.

I've been burned buying stuff off eBay, with overseas sellers, misrepresenting their products, receiving shoddy, substandard items with massive hassles trying to get refunds. This was my first purchase from Thomann, & I have to say, it was a wonderfully refreshing change. Shipped immediately (at a better rate than the online giants), was here in 4 days, & the quality far surpassed my expectations.

You've earned yourself a repeat customer. Thank you.

Does the job

Good table arm, the foam/gum pads wher it mounts to the table don't really last and they've gotten themselves dislodged from being mounted to the table, but I've added extra padding of my own - docked a star for that; but for the price it's quite good.

Low price, but it works!
DrCheese 28.01.2023
This is by far the cheapest table attached microphone boom arm sold by Thomann so it would be unfair to expect it to be super-luxurious.
The four springs intended to hold the boom in the desired position are a little noisy and resonant. This could prove problematic if the boom arm is moved during a recording or something else causes it to vibrate.
Only comes with a 5/8" mic clip threading so buy an adapter if you think you must have the narrower 3/8" threading.
In its default set up it proved too weak to hold a Shure SM7B; stretching the two springs into the higher tension position (there are only two positions) seems to have addresses that. Overall, it requires a little more patience to get it into a desired position that the more expensive Rode PSA-1.
Table clamp works well.
In summary, great for the money, but if you need luxury and exceptional performance, budget for a bit more.

Good option for home studio

I like it having on my table, so I can record something any time. You need to take care of standing position, sometimes it may drop if the angle is too extreme

So I wasn't expecting much from this one but so far it seems to be of high quality and a solid build. Would definitely recommend!

Functional but not sturdy enough

I wish there were more options to fix the adjusted positions in place. It is nonetheless a functional mic stand.

I like it
Apicatus 12.03.2023
I have bought it to hold my Rode NT-USB Mini and I am very satisfied of how it is holding up 2 and a half years later.

It is only the glue of the rubber pad on the clamp, that has started to come out a bit from the pressure, but it still holds and doesn't affect the arm at all.
