I wanted to try a pedal delay in addition to the plugins I’m using in my DAW, and after trying (and returning) the DM-202 (check my review) and TimeFactor, I purchased the Polymoon - as far as I know there are not that many other delay pedals that accept line level and MIDI. The Polymoon handles both, though you need to buy the Meris MIDI I/O to make MIDI work - which is a bit annoying and almost made me return the Polymoon to buy the LVX instead, which has 5 DIN MIDI.
Now that I’ve connected the Polymoon to the ins and outs of my audio-interface and setup the routing in my DAW, I can confirm it’s a fantastic alternative for plugins: the delay sounds fantastic, is highly modifiable and has an other-wordly phaser that reminds me of that classic Global Communications album.
It recognizes MIDI clock, which for me is an absolute must for delay pedals, and I can control the knob values with CC’s from my DAW or controler, which is especially handy for the Alt-functions.
