Manhasset Shaft Lock 2400

As other reviewers have said, this should come with the stand. The supposed great virtue of the stand is that the extending part is held in place by friction which makes adjustment easy. The trouble is, after a short time, the friction is not strong enough to grip properly. Every time I try to make a pencil mark on a score, either the top part of the stand rotates (and every time it does that, it sinks a bit lower) or I have to put the instrument down and use one hand to hold the stand steady. This is a big hassle to make a small notation, so I am forced to buy this item to lock the upper part of the stand in place. That makes the whole friction thing useless, so I would have been much better off to buy a locking stand in the first place. This is quite expensive for, essentially, a couple of bits of plastic, and you have to take the stand apart to fit it. Overall, it's pretty unimpressive for the most expensive stand of its type.
