There's place for improvement

Please note that you will have to make two modifications on your classical guitar to use this strings. One is permanent and that is widening the holes on the bridge to accomodate the (much) heavier gauge of these strings. The other one is not permanent and that is widening the slots on the nut (for the same reason you have to widen the bridge holes).
Since I have luthier skills I didn't mind at all this and waited for the Magma Transpositors order with an already modified guitar.
They do as intended and now I have kind of an acoustic Fender VI (for those who play electric) and that opens possibilities for experimenting in composition and arrangement.
The problem I have with this product that I expected the volume of the set to be well balanced. Instead, the lower E string is noticeably quieter than the rest and that is very frustrating.
The other issue I have is that higher G, B and E strings' construction is poor. Part of the wounds got marred and opened leaving the core to be seen over several frets after little use.
I love the fact that a little company from Argentina came to the fore with such an original and attractive product but the promise is only accomplished by half.
I find the price payed is disproportionate given the poor quality of the final product. I hope MAGMA STRINGS will improve their balance, projection and durability on this particular set of strings because the concept is great.
If I take into account that to find out all this I had to permanently modify an instrument (as mentioned above), I feel kinda raped. Luckily the instrument was not expensive.
