erstmal halte ich das Mikrofon (und Lewitt Mikrofone allgemein, abgesehen vom 240) für (einen) absolute(n) Killer. Ob es wirklich das Topmodell sein muss, steht natürlich auf einem anderen Blatt ;-) Wollt ihr so günstig wie möglich den Lewitt Sound. Kauft euch 440 (Preis- Leistungssweetspot) und seid glücklich. Wollt Ihr noch eine Schippe mehr bzw. die Filter/Pads nehmt 540 S. Braucht Ihr Richtcharakteristiken -> 441 oder 640.
Ich selber habe einige Mikrofone getestet und bin am Ende beim 940 als Hauptmikrofon gelandet.
Das Mikrofon hat sich bei mir durchgesetzt, da es sehr gut zu meiner Stimme passt (ich würde sogar so weit gehen, zu sagen, dass das Mikrofon sehr gut zu vielen Stimmen passt) und sich auch super Acousticgitarre damit aufnehmen lässt.
Ich hab mich damit bereits, als Zweitstimme, in mehrere professionelle Aufnahmen hineingemogelt und es klingt qualitativ so, als wäre ich mit im Studio gewesen. Absolut beeindruckend. (teilweise auch in etwas speziellere Songs wie z.B. "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" von Lou Rawls)
Man sollte allerdings das "Röhren - Kondensator - Spektrum" nicht überschätzen. Der Klangunterschied ist nicht so stark, wie man das vielleicht vermuten würde, aber er ist da, wird bei mir reichhaltig genutzt, und ist dafür geeignet den Sound graduell zu beeinflussen.
Das Mikrofon ist sehr neutral (schimmert aber latent genau in den richtigen Frequenzen) und bringt den "larger then life" Effekt.
Der Koffer vermittelt die Stabilität eines Bosch- Schlagbohrers, find ich richtig klasse.
Haptik und Optik vom Mikrofon ist richtig edel. Mir gefällt der Style.
Die Beleuchtung der Röhre ist natürlich umstritten. Hab aber gehört viele Sänger mögen es, ich auch :-P.
Bei dem 11-pin XLR Kabel müsst Ihr sehr vorsichtig mit den Steckern umgehen. Ich versuche das Kabel so schonend wie nur irgendwie möglich zu behandeln und will nicht wissen, was ein Neues kostet ;-).
Das Netzteil / Speise- / Kontrollgerät wirkt an sich sehr massig, wertig und solide.
Die Drehregler hingegen wirken aber einfach nur billig. Das passt für mich überhaupt nicht zusammen. Weiterhin hat bei mir das linke Drehrad einen Verarbeitungsmangel und hängt über einen gewissen Bereich bzw. ist Schwergängig. Dafür zieh ich gändigerweise nur einen Stern bei der Verarbeitung ab. Gefühlt stört es mich mehr.
Der Spinne vertrau ich auch nicht 100 Prozentig. Ich hab mit dem Drehverschluss bereits bei meinem 441 Flex schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. Das ist mir bei der Aufnahme (Top down) auf einmal rausgerutscht (fest verschraubt) und auf den Boden geknallt. (hat es überlebt) Lewitt ist das Problem bekannt. Wenn eurer Lewitt Mikrofon eingeschraubt ist und sich trotzdem noch leicht drehen lässt, ist das ein schlechtes Zeichen.
Gummieinsatz rausnehmen und neu einpassen, sollte helfen.
Allgemein scheint die Qualität ein bisschen unter dem Gesamtkonzept (bestmögliche Mikrofone zu geringstmöglichen Fertigungskosten) zu leiden. Mein 441 ist bereits defekt angekommen. Ein Bekannter musste sein 940 nach kurzer Zeit in die RMA schicken. Das mit dem Drehregler würde bei vielen Produkten niemals durch die Qualitätskontrolle kommen. Kann alles passieren, zufall sein und muss nichts bedeuten. Vorsicht ist aber besser als Nachsicht.
Ich werde daher keine Lewitt Mikrofone gebraucht und ohne Garantie kaufen. Mal abgesehen davon, dass der Wiederverkaufswert auch nicht der Beste zu sein scheint. Vielleicht auch noch ein kleiner Nachteil.
Alles in allem überwiegt bei mir aber der positive Eindruck und Lewitt ist zu meiner Mikrofonmarke geworden. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist einfach super und der Klang passt für mich perfekt. Mehr möchte ich für Mikrofone auch nicht ausgeben und mehr werde ich für das Geld auch nicht bekommen.

Hello, first of all I think the microphone (and Lewitt microphones in general, apart from the 240) is an absolute killer. Whether it really has to be the top model is of course another matter ;-) Do you want the Lewitt sound as cheaply as possible? Buy 440 (price-performance sweet spot) and be happy. Do you want a bit more or the filters/pads take 540 S. Do you need polar patterns -> 441 or 640. I tested a few microphones myself and ended up with the 940 as my main microphone. The microphone won out for me because it suits my voice very well (I would even go so far as to say that the microphone suits many voices very well) and it is also great for recording acoustic guitar. I've already used it as a second voice on several professional recordings and it sounds qualitatively as if I had been in the studio. Absolutely impressive. (sometimes also in more special songs such as "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" by Lou Rawls) However, one should not overestimate the "tube - capacitor - spectrum". The difference in sound is not as strong as you might expect, but it is there, I use it extensively, and it is suitable for gradually influencing the sound. The microphone is very neutral (but shimmers latently at exactly the right frequencies) and brings the "larger then life" effect. The case conveys the stability of a Bosch impact drill, which I think is really great. The feel and look of the microphone is really elegant. I like the style. The lighting of the tube is of course controversial. But I heard a lot of singers like it, me too :-P. With the 11-pin XLR cable you have to be very careful with the plugs. I try to treat the cable as gently as possible and don't want to know how much a new one costs ;-). The power supply/power supply/control device itself appears to be very massive, valuable and solid. The dials, on the other hand, just seem cheap. That doesn't add up at all for me. Furthermore, the left rotary wheel has a defect in workmanship and hangs over a certain area or is difficult to move. For this I am only deducting one star for processing. I feel like it bothers me more. I don't trust the spider 100 percent either. I've already had bad experiences with the screw cap on my 441 Flex. When I was taking the picture (top down), it suddenly slipped out (screwed tightly) and hit the floor. (survived it) Lewitt is aware of the problem. If your Lewitt microphone is screwed in and still rotates easily, that's a bad sign. Taking out the rubber insert and refitting it should help. In general, the quality seems to suffer a bit from the overall concept (the best possible microphones at the lowest possible manufacturing costs). My 441 arrived already defective. A friend had to send his 940 to RMA after a short time. The knob thing would never get through quality control for many products. Anything can happen, be a coincidence and doesn't have to mean anything. But it's better to be safe than sorry. I will therefore not buy Lewitt microphones used and without a guarantee. Aside from the fact that the resale value doesn't seem to be the best either. Maybe also a small disadvantage. All in all, the positive impression outweighs the negatives for me and Lewitt has become my microphone brand. The price-performance ratio is simply great and the sound suits me perfectly. I don't want to spend more on microphones and I won't get more for the money. Buy recommendation
