Convient aux guitares électriques et à la plupart des guitares folk.

Avantages du capo :
- pas de frise, même sur une folk baritone 8 cordes !
- tenue de l'acordage
- esthétique (métal imitation bois) si la table de la guitare a la même teinte

Inconvénients :
- un peu cher ;
- fort grincement à l'ouverture du capo ;
- ouverture du capo parfois limite par rapport à l'épaisseur du manche (d'une folk). Il faut donc veiller à ce que les cordes restent pincées droites. Une ouverture un chouïa plus grande aurait augmenté la facilité d'utilisation ;
- non-adapté aux guitares classiques (pour lesquelles je pense me souvenir que Kyser fait des capo dédiés)
