I was going to buy the G4, but the day the 5th generation was announced and I took the risk.
I've already used Yamaha and Genelec in the studio where I work and I wanted to have a versatile monitor, that could have enough bass and details for me to be able to mix at home.
In conjunction with the DT 900 Pro X, I have remade some mixes and the results have been great!
However, changing the faceplate is very difficult and besides it has 3 modes, it's a pain to have to lift every time I want to use the mix or focus (I ended up leaving just the mix mode)
It could have bluetooth to facilitate this process.

My first speakers
AmateurMusicianFriend 06.09.2024
I've wanted speaker for a long time now, so when I was able to finally get them for myself, I really did a lot of research to "not make a mistake". In the end, after many reviews the KRKs seemed to be portraied as "great speakers but there are better" speakers, so I almost went with the Adam Audio T5V. I picked the KRKs in the end beacuse are significantly shorter, which ended up being very suitable for my rooms/setup. The sound is amazing, and even if I did run in to any sound problems there is a lot of EQ things you can do to correct them. The flat setting is great, there is the perfect amount of bass, mids and highs. If you put in in the "enjoying music" setting of EQ the bass is overwhelming, at least for me. In short these speakers are worth every cent. I am really satisfied. The sound is really "headphone" like. The "sound-space" they produce is excellent. They might be small (I was actually surprised, I thought they would be smaller for some reason), but they are very loud and accurate sounding.

Punchy and clear sound.

Perfect for my home studio, the bass is clearly the main focus for this speaker and it doesn't disappoint. With the controls at the back i can change pretty much anything i don't like about the sound and customize it exactly for my room.
For the cons, one of the two monitors i ordered came with a woofer problem which made a weird kind of rattling sound on low sub bass. I have since returned the product and they gave me a perfectly fine replacement. 10/10 for thomann, haven't had any problems since!
Overall a great speaker, i would recommend to anyone looking for a new and modern set of studio monitors

Nearfield with flexible application and spacious sound
finb 28.02.2025
Nice size and comes complete with protection grill.option and a couple isolation foam pads allowing option of tilt or flat when on speaker stands. Balanced jack or xlr input. Lcd screen with eq options. I found the xlr ins not so grippy and didnt feel.like a secure plug in connection so i switched over to use balance 1/4 inch jack. Like sound options but a bit fiddle small display and habe to.turn speakers around to see it clearly. Expected an app to allow settings control and set up
But there isnt one. Jst the krk app for other room freq analysis and speaker position set.
