So a 440 Hz A is really a high-mids “Oo?”
Emile Michel Hobo 03.06.2020
Who would’ve guessed?

Set the vibration in motion and press it to your skull close to the entrance to your ear and you’ll get the perfect perception of a 440 Hz A that people have always asked you to deliver when you mentioned or they estimated that you wanted to sing.

So what is it? The A on the high E-string of your guitar? The A the current day most common tunings are set to? Well, officially. Be cool, walk out of line, but play in tune.

A life-saving accessory!

I bought this tuning fork just for fun really...but now I never leave the house without it! It comes in really handy at gigs (I play trumpet, myself) and is great for choir leaders also.

Perhaps the only negative thing is that it is quite small and you need almost complete silence to detect the tone.

Still, it is a nice sturdy little tool that has helped me whenever I needed to make sure I was in tune...and it doesn't require batteries!

Makes the work done
asr4work 04.01.2019
Produces a 440Hz A, small enough to be kept in the pocket every hour, every day of work.

Actually, It is a tuner fork :)

Good quality fork

Good quality tuning fork although the handle is small for me. I would recommend buy the 120 mm version, it might be more convenient.

Pitch Perfect!

Lovely little tuning fork. If you can describe a tuning fork as 'basic' I suppose this would be! No frills about it, this tuning fork delivers a lovely 440 Hz!

The sound is so pure
SophiaDah 10.05.2022
Bought this to tune my violin
The sound is so pure I now want to play this instrument instead of my violin
- this is a joke it isn't an actual instrument... but i wish it were.

My wife actually showed me you can make the sound loud by putting the little round bottom of the fork on a wood surface, after you've hit the fork.
It is loud and clear...I am thinking about buying a G, E and D in the same size

Inaccurate
MihaG 26.05.2013
I am surprised that a fork of lower quality would be bundled together with higher quality items, such as the Jahn tuning hammer in Jahn pro tuning set.

The K&M 168 Tuning Fork 105mm that I had recieved was inaccurate and it measured 442 Hz on the oscilloscope and to confirm this mistake I also compared the pitch to several more reliable 440 Hz pitches and the two tones together resulted in 2 beats per second.

I suggest replacing the named tuning fork with higher quality one, taking in account that someone who is willing to spend over 100€ on a tuning hammer expects all the items in the set to be high quality.

Good for its cost.

It's at 440hz, alright. It's also very compact and easy to carry in your pockets. It's light so you dont have to hurt yourself when you're hitting it on your hand to get the tone.
