Only good for practice and amateur recordings
PabloSch 19.01.2022
As in the title. Honestly, I was very disappointed because the description on the website says that the irig is compatible with iphone 5, which is not true because it requires a much newer ios that cannot be installed on an iphone 5. after installation on ipad pro, the sound quality is average and suitable for home exercises. Although sometimes it's a waste of time for the exercises themselves to connect it all. The headphone sound when playing "garage band" is sufficient and there is a millisecond delay which annoys me personally ... Quality. The performance is sufficient, poor plastic and the gain control is slightly difficult because the potentiometer is hardly available hidden in the housing. I will not mention the application for this device, the prices are high and for a quite good package you can buy a weak mini combo that will work better for practice.
I recommend it to someone who has a new ios device and wants to record in home quality. I used this for the Squier PB 50s.

KM
Love My iRig - Wish I would've read the fine print
Kaptin Marko 14.04.2021
First let me say that the iRig2 is a great tool. It makes practice through your phone and earbuds so easy! I can go over my music, try new sounds, experiment with playing styles, all without disturbing my work at home wife (thanks COVID). This thing has made getting my guitar practice in wonderful. Its small, intuitive and easy to carry around. I can use it for live sound as well as home. The 1/4 inch ouch is great, but I do find i need to run it through a DI box if I am going to house sound.

I like having the interface on my phone while I have my music on my iPad. This cleans up my music stand makes breakdown a breeze.

The only thing I wish I had paid attention to was how you get the different amp sounds and emulators. they do not come with the iRig2's iOS application. You need to buy them separately. This can get pricey, although its not too bad if you just need a few, but for me, I would love to have everything. Just make sure you know what you're getting before you buy.

Either way, i would highly recommend the iRig2 to you. Whether you're a stage musician, home hobbyist, or church player its a great asset in your tool bag.

Practicing bass quietly
Diegoasen 23.03.2021
Used it on an android phone HTC U11 and got a lot of delay from it.
On my computer I couldn't get a nice sound from it. Lots of noise and distortion.
Maybe for IOS works better.
Also the app Amplitube doesn't work with this device on iOS so don't trust the adds.

Мобильная игра на ди&#1074

Playing the guitar (in my case) allows you to use this gadget while sitting on the couch using your phone. Connected to the phone (there must be software installed) and you play. I will name one minus: this is an extremely short mini-jack that connects to the phone. It would be better to make it separate or longer. The quality of the material is good. Since I do not use additional pedals, I do not use the thru fx switching function. This device allows you to play both through headphones (without distracting others with your game) so connect to the speakers. The quality of the materials is good.

Great interface for iOS
Miguelast98 10.01.2022
Works really fine with a really low non noticeable latency, I use it with bias fix, amplitube and Tonebridge and really been practicing for years just with that, for the price you can really have quality sound only having an iPhone and this little friend, also works with Tonebridge on android but depends on the phone you can get more latency

I use this for direct video audio
mikkeleles 18.03.2021
I bought this to use it so that i can record audio directly from my sound card to my smartphone (android) while recording a video. I want to use it in live streaming too , but I didnt get the chance yet.

the audio that is being recorded is mono and not stereo but 20 times better than using your smartphone mic as you can imagine. the audio quality is much higher.

It works really well if you use it with an apple device, on android though it lags just too much

Excellent- Works g8 on my MAC
Sabbir 18.11.2015
what an excellent product it is. i was quiet skeptical on buying this as i din't know lot aboutt it, but after googling it around web, found out it's excellent product. It was packed good came with a Velcro to attach it to a stand or somewhere safe so u don't stomp on it. It looks rigid by the feel of it. The Input jacks have a good click sound to it. I loved the fact that it has two out put jacks so that i can connect it to my headphone and another to an amp.
I used it on my mac with an amplitube 3 free software downloaded from their website. Works like a charm. the gain and switch knobs are handy. There was no latency problems while it was connected to my mac and used it to record on my garageband. I don't have a iphone , so m not sure how it works in there but it for sure din't work on my android phone. Tried it on my Nexus 5 & samsung S5 din't work. Even in their website it shows it will work with few selected android phone, but couldn't figure it out, how?

Excellent product if u don't want to spend money on pedals or effects. Don't buy it if u are PC or Android users, and if any one figure it out if it worked on them then please let me know :D

MUST buy product.

Got it for Android. Does it's job but I'm feeling much from it.
Anonymous 09.01.2016
It's a fine piece of equipment but it doesn't really blow me away.
If you're looking for something to allow you to get some practice while you're on the move then sure it'll do that but do expect to be fiddling around with sounds on the app for longer than you expected.

The device itself as a piece of hardware is of decent construction. It's well laid out to keep it streamlined and it is easily attachable to a mic stand or to your belt with the provided velcro strap which is a nice touch.
The connections are all solid and it feels sturdy enough for its plastic construction.

Due it being reliant on other hardware/software however it does leave a lot to be desired when it is paired with amplitube for android.
Maybe it's because it's still early in it's foray into the android market but it is lacking in comparison to using it on Apple.
I'm not a fan of Apple products but I have used amplitube on iphone and ipad with the original irig and it had a wealth of extra features that just don't seem to be catered to on android.
I wouldn't really recommend it yet but once they work the kinks out I'd hope it will get better.
Still if you're going to be on the road practicing then it does the job
