Build quality is mesmerizing. The japanese craftsmanship is something else. The guitar came without any scratches or imperfections and the lightning patterns are made in relief, which makes the guitar look like a sculpture made by an artist.
The ebony fretboard is very smooth which lets you shred easily and along with the ash body it can produce some really dark tones.
The coil tap switch is a game changer, since, obviously, the tones can change dramatically depending on which configurations you choose, which gives you a lot of freedom to experiment. It can be both very smooth and relaxing for space/stoner rock riffs and also extremely aggressive for djent with low notes and high bends, just making the right switches.
And another thing that impressed me is the sustain. It feels like it naturally has a lot more sustain than any other of my guitars.
In conclusion, if you want an 8 string guitar, this is the one.
