Better than expected
Leandro Reis 03.04.2022
As this was my first journey into the Hotone brand, the Ampero II Stomp made a lasting impression on me and is a surprise contender in the multi-effects market alongside better-known brands. It deserves its place in the list of established competitors if you’re looking to go digital and own it.

Everything is not diamonds but with enough pressure you can turn a turd in to it.
Nirkenstain 25.07.2024
Its an awsome pice of gear, but if you want to get legendary and recognisable amp sounds straight out without much hassle you need to reconsider. If u put in some time you will get there. It may be me who is used to working with a 3 knob tube amp for everything (Gain volume tone) and i usualy leave the EQ in the middle on those. With this you need to work it a bit more. You need to trust your listening envoierment. I tured sound i liked. Went to a live show and it did not match my expectations. :D Needed some more work: But now i have 3 basic setups and it just works. Dont need to touch iut more or experiment

l
Small, really nice UI and can sound great
ljunes 06.09.2024
I bought this to decide if I would be fine with something much more affordable than a Quad Cortex. In short, I wasn't, but I think I could have been.

The UI is really cool: It's blocks of elements in a signal chain like Quad Cortex and others, but it has its own style and is a bit simpler. The entire pedal is also really small and sturdy, it feels like it would easily survive a drop. All in all, really nice design and it feels like a very compact (and even friendly?) little thing.

Now, onto the sounds: I only liked some of the presets unfortunately. Some of the more ambient ones were quite nice and the few "jazz-y" ones I also really liked, but the distorted tones I did not like as much. On other units and some plugins I really enjoy turning down the volume knob on the guitar and playing with dynamics, which did not work well for me on the Ampero II. The support for scenes in the 2.0 firmware could probably improve that, but I wanted to do it without additional work.

Some of the tones, especially some of the distortion stuff, also had that "digital"/modeler sound to it, some top-end frequencies that sound a bit thin to me. I've seen some tips online that playing with the equalizer options could take care of that and I also tried that a bit, but again I prefer things sounding really nice out of the box and then only tweaking after a bit.

So, not for me unfortunately, but the Stomp can do similar things to other modelers and with some equalizer work can probably sound really nice. I'll keep the Quad Cortex instead which is much more expensive, but I've been enjoying the tones from that pretty much always. But this little pedal is still really neat for its price and was certainly worth a try! (And for some reason the design really appeals to me, it's almost cute, but also sturdy.)

Ampero II
Panfeed 23.04.2023
This is my first multi-effect and it was a wise choice. I didn't had any pre amps or pedals before so I wanted to try them all in this little box.
The reason I decided to buy Ampero is versatility. Also I connected my usb mic to this multi-effect just for fun and it works perfectly. Now I'm playing with original presets and I'm satisfied with it, for first time default presets are more than enough.

My niggles:
AUX signal doesn't goes to usb output

Great guitar processor
DerheimBo 20.09.2024
A great guitar processor that is well worth the investment. Perfect build quality, unique design, intuitive controls, and most importantly, the sound matches and surpasses more expensive processors. if you need a processor for home and studio it is perfect, but if you are a performing artist I would advise you to buy a hotone ampero stage as it is more convenient to use the stages and has more controllers for convenience.

Absolutely love it
Aref1234 16.05.2024
Sold my L6 HX Effects and got this.
A bit fiddly to install the laptop software (needs the drivers to be installed).
Overall, I really love the sounds and the interface.
A solid alternative to the L6 stomp
