I just got 500/1 vintage , after changing the strings to Flatwound make easily play for me...the sound is fantastic , i fall in love with the sound when play along The Beatles songs...love love love..I wish anyone who never try this one, go and try it..you will love this 500/1 Artist violin bass.

I’ve had a Höfner icon for many years and have loved it, but recently purchased this German made Höfner which has been a league of its own. The woody tone is incomparable, the quality is unmistakable, and the look is as you’d expect, perfect. I imported this to the United States and the process was very easy and I am satisfied with Thomann, definitely recommend Höfner and Thomann to anyone.
