Harley Benton SolidBass 410T

Lightweight 410 bass cab, quite nice finish and details, looks sturdy. Handles, connectors, front cover, corners are good quality. Speakers looks well, screws are solid, cabinet has reinforcement inside, tolex is well glued. Nothing to complain about in this price range.
Cabinet can play quite loud, it lacks the lowest end (as declared in description, frequency response from 60Hz), but is rather fast. Mids sounds OK, I would say vintage (paper cone always nice), good companion for Precision. I were disappointed with highs, tweeter is the weakest element of the product.
High frequencies are quiet (there is no spark at all), and I have a feeling that you can push it to the limits quite easily. Not good companion for hi-fi style bass guitars (music man + precision, active) when you like to hear all the details of top end. I'm not a slap guy, but I feel that's not the cab for slap.
Disabling tweeter, going with just 4x10 gives that vintage bass tone that bring me some fun. I've also connected the cab with my 115 (Trace), and that comes with power and a bit more of low end (Trace is not a "very low endish master").
So, good product for the price, but not my type of sound - lack of lowest end and that sparkling highs. I've returned the cab to Thomann.

The cab was compared with hi-fi Peavey TVX 210 and mix of Trace (2103x + 1153).

Je suis un musicien amateur multi instruments, et fidèle à la marque Harley-Benton. J'ai acheté ce cab410 et dès le premier jour j'en suis très content .
Les "+" : - il encaisse largement plus que les 250 watts annoncés si on respecte une période de rodage et qu'on n'est pas trop lourd sur les basses fréquences.
- le caisson est léger et très bien fabriqué.
- le tolex de finition est propre et semble résistant .
- il descend très bien dans les graves de mes basses 5 cordes car j'ai rajouté de la mousse acoustique à l'intérieur.

Le tweeter est très mal filtré ( 6 db/Octave ) , cela donne un risque de casse très rapide , mais pour quelques Euros c'est parfait avec un filtre 18Db/ octave filtré à 2.5 ou 3.5 kHz.
Petite mise à jour ; j'ai remplacé les 4 HP par des Eminence Legend B 810 150/32, des 32 Ohms comme dans les anciens Trace Elliot, et le filtre du tweeter. Le résultat est top , le rendement est magique et le poids reste correct. Sur scène, j'en rigole car personne ne sait que mon caisson n'est plus vraiment un Harley-Benton !

Ich denke das Hauptargument für diese Bassbox ist viel Druck für wenig Geld. Ich habe die Bassbox zusammen mit dem SolidBass 600H in Gebrauch und da kommt ordentlich Wumms raus. Der Sound ist nicht nur laut, sondern durchaus brauchbar. Einzig die Verarbeitung könnte besser sein. Die Anschlußbuchse ist direkt erstmal rausgefallen und die kleinen Schrauben, bzw die Muttern die diese festhalten, in die Box, so dass man sie auch nicht wieder rausbekommt. Ärgerlich, aber nicht dramatisch. Ein paar Schrauben aus der "die könnte ich irgendwann nochmal gebrauchen" - Box und das Ding ist fest. Wenn man die Box schüttelt (etwas unhandlich vielleicht) kann man Rasseln hören, aber stört ja nicht beim Spielen. Man kann sich jetzt natürlich über diesen kleinen Schönheitsfehler aufregen, aber man bekommt fürs wenig Geld viel Sound, und das Teil bleibt definitiv hier.
