Works as a power supply, not really as a tuner
Zef 17.02.2022
For someone who needs both a power supply and a tuner this seems like a pretty good deal. However as soon as I put it in my signal chain I got amazing 1950's flying saucer effects all over my sound, especially when turning up the gain.

The bad:
Tried it at different parts of the chain, with different amplifiers and at a studio with the same result. The only way to keep it plugged in without sounding like an Ed Wood flick was to plug it in my amplifier's headphone jack, so that it's actually outside the signal chain. I still need to switch to a clean sound for tuning to work properly. The tuning accuracy isn't great either.

The good:
On the upside it works fine as a power supply in my experience: two 9V/500mA for my digital pedals and 6x 9V/100mA for the rest covers your basic needs. Doesn't seem to add noise to the pedals' sound. The kit has what you need for most cases: 2A 9V DC power supply for the pedal itself, cables of different lengths and two cables for inverting polarity for those center-positive outliers.

In conclusion:
I would not recommend as a tuner as I needed to find a workaround for the noise it generates through the audio output, but works fine as a power supply (at least for my pedals).

Does what it's supposed to, but comes with VERY noisy adaptor
VeryShortNickName 20.08.2021
The pedal works great. It's very easy to see the display, so far I connected 3 other pedals on the 100mA (a Wah, a mini TS, and a Mooer Black Secret) and it does not generate hum or added noise.
Next pedal will be a Whammy DT and I will update the review after testing it.

Major downside, and the reason I cannot give it 5 stars is that it came with a VERY noisy adaptor. The power source injected a siren like noise which made playing unbearable.
Thomann sent me a replacement, but unfortunately the replacement had the same issue. It got solved it after buying a "Truetone 1 spot" at a local shop. No more hum, but cost me 20€ more.

I
Solid construction, mixed performance
ISBM 10.10.2017
I have this tuner pedal in my stage rig which covers my role as a bass player in one band and guitar in another. I did have issues with it at first but have now found a set up that works.

There is noise; by the bus load. This occurs when certain distortion pedals are in the signal chain. Not a problem I have had with any other pedals so I assume that this one is to blame - So why do I still use it? Well I like the look of the display and the fact that it distributes power saving space. My bass rig (in Drop D) has always been fine and I note the comments in other reviews about not registering correctly - never had it myself. Even when using a 5 string bass with a low B it registers.

For guitar I have had to compromise but again, once I found what worked the pedal consistently performed.

So what should you make of it?
If you are willing to persist with it then you have a very well made tuner with a great display. If you want to unbox, plug in and use then perhaps you should find something else. I will be keeping mine and will continue to play about with pedals until I work out what is causing all that noise!

Great tuner with bonus perks

The tuner works perfectly, the led is well lit. The option to power other pedias is a bonus for the price. You can't hear much noise from the power supply.
I recommend it!

Very good Choice
Anonymous 13.06.2016
So, you have set up all your favorite pedals, connections, little cables going round and round your pedal-train and now it is time to make an important decision: External power supply, one spot or power plant?

Having already tried the powerplant products (both) I have to say that their quality is very good. When i was browsing the Thomann site i came across the Powerplant Tuner.

It seemed to me the obvious choice since it combines both a tuner (which by the way is THE most important pedal for me) and a power supply for lots of pedals.

In a few words: It is sturdy, good-looking, and most important of all. It is NOISEless! You won't be bothered with any noises at all.

Feel free to tune with its bright but not disturbing lcd screen.

Enjoy!

Got noise!
kjarrime 11.08.2017
if i connect my 3 pedals i get noise.
if i use the tuner as to only power my other 2 pedals i get no noise. But if using all 3 it?s noise.
when using only the tuner is?t no noise.

It?s really frustrating.

Pros : Tuner works good as a tuner and got bright lights. looks well build and sturdy.

Cons : It?s got NOISE. it?s says it?s got isolated outputs. I think this is just a dasy cahin kind of power and no isolated outputs.
if that is true they are lying saying it is isolated.

Well i live in Iceland so it costs me to much to send it back to be worth it so i have to keep it and ends in a drawer somewhere at home

Im going to order a better power supply and another tuner later when i have the budget.

can?t recommend it. sorry :(

Great value
Anonymous 03.01.2017
This is a really good option for jumpstarting a pedal board as it combines two necessary components in one.
I use it to power an ooverdrive, fuzz, flashback x3 and a vibe pedal, sometimes all at the same time! I started to run into problems when I added the polara, but it's a very hungry pedal.
One hangup for me was that it sometiemes hangs-up a little, as in slow to respond, so tuning becomes a bit cumbersome, but that's nothing a restart cannot fix.

All in all, a great starter piece of kit. Probably not for constant gigs though.

Beautiful, effective, well made.
Basszeela 13.01.2023
Being in the process of building a pedalboard I was looking for powerplants and tuner and stumbled upon this wonder!
And it does what it says it does well!
The tuner is spot on (obviously I crosschecked with 2 others :D)
And the powerplant itself as of now its providing power to an overdrive pedal, a chorus, a compressor, a preamp, an eq and a DI... Basically I filled out 6/6 of the 100mA output slots and even when everything is on I get no feedback noise or any noise whatsoever (unless I crank gain on the overdrive too much, which I dont since its not needed).
The pedal itself is well made and the footswitch feels sturdy.
10/10 would buy again!

Budget God

The box and the pedal is full of goodies to supply your pedalboard with necessary power. Everything has been working fine for me to this day and I am very pleased that I didn't have to buy a seperate power supply and a seperate tuner.
Only thing I wish I'd calculate in this budget freiendly equation is cables going straight out of the unit in an unorderly fashion with no easy way to hide them (but that doesn't bother me much).
Tuner does its job but sometimes it needs to be turned off and on again (with a footswitch or sometimes even unpluged from power) to properly work othervise it shows E# or something I played at the start for every string I play after.

This pedal is too good to be true, I could understand that people may be put off by the fact it is a Harley Benton Pedal. But I think Harley Benton get a bad wrap all together, I love them! with suprisingly no noise, giant noticable display and easy power supply access you really cant go wrong. The space you save too!! even the bass player has went and bought one :)
