Just buy it
MD25 06.01.2022
I have bought a lot of guitar stuff. From flashy reverbs and delays to OD's, Phasers, wah's you name it. But this thing is one of those things that are just so good and affordable, that I get a big smile on my face whenever I see or think of it. It's silent, has an insane amount of juice, modular (which is a very important aspect since I bought three of these and an ISO-2AC Pro Modulars to power 20 pedals) and it's build like a tank. Also it's a switchmode power supply so you can use it anywhere. You don't get any spare cables but the ones they included feel solid enough to last a very long time. The plugs are also a relatively small form factor. All in all, just get this. Even if you only have 1 pedal. Get rid of wall warts and daisy chains. This is the way to go.

Great pedal power
TobiasFEsq 08.09.2022
This provides enough power for modern, high end pedals. And they're all isolated. 500Ma is easily enough to daisy chain more units if required, and if you choose the right pedals to do this with, won't interfere with the sound quality (and of course you buy the extension unit for a few pounds if you want all isolated).

The unit is solid, well made and silent - no interference in my chain. You can plug it directly in to a UK socket with a standard UK IEC kettle lead. And of course you take it all over the world without difficulty. This is a third of the price of any serious competition. It also looks good. Top notch.

Two minor points: 1) normally Thomann throw in an English kettle lead for EU plugged items coming to England - this time they did not. But they are common leads and I had a spare. 2) If you use velcro/onboard fasteners then it's great but if you don't, no rubber feet are provided.

PS
It's a good unit but I think I got unlucky.
Papa Steph 21.08.2024
I was seduced by the small package and that it's packing a small punch for its compact size. (500mAh per output). I am powering a small pedalboard with a Boss looper, a midi controller, a tuner + a booster. Nothing too power hungry really. On paper it looked perfect. When I received it, it looked solid and not cheap, so it was another + and I was confident this was it.
But... the only time I used it live, power dropped on me. Briefly. Rendering my RC5 looper useless with an error message, until I unplugged it and plugged it back.
Maybe I got unlucky and the venue's power was inconsistent, making the juice drop for a second and hindered my live performance, but I couldn't take the risk to encounter this again while playing live. The HB powerPlant was the only new piece in my "pedalboard puzzle" and as I never had this before using PSUs, I had to send it back. I could recommend the solidity, the finish, the practicality of the product. All good. But unreliability was now shadowing all this. Unfortunate. I have to go back and keep looking for a more reliable unit.

Pleasantly surprised!
Madchiotis 04.03.2022
Bought this as my first multiple power supply to replace my pedals’ individual supplies. Feels rock solid, the “juice” is more than enough for my needs and its design is incredibly compact and practical. The ability to chain more units makes this unit potentially future-proof. Couldn’t be happier!

Great modular power supply with a minor caveat
forkless 06.05.2023
This extremely affordable power supply makes scaling up a pedalboard a breeze and will power most of your pedals without issue.

Excellent !
Pedronis 11.08.2023
Quality build and everything looks to be robust including housing, sockets, leads and plugs. No noise from my small pedalboard when operating. Given that everything from Thomman comes with a 3 year warranty I have no concerns about reliability. I don't gig anymore but would be happy to take it on the road.

A bit too big to fit underneath a Pedaltrain Nano+, so I mounted it on the far left hand side and stacked a mini looper on top.

Just waiting on the delivery of some adhesive cable-tie sticky padmounts to secure the cables under the board.

coupled with a harley benton ISO 2 AC for a couple of 9v/12v outlets and 9v/18v outlets...
i chose these because of the AC cable input and modularity. isolation seems to do the job, no interference .
interesting for pedalbords in development, everytime you need to buy one of these, you are reminded you might have to many pedals, or just enough...

Unavoidable hum/buzz noise (maybe I was just unlucky)
I like cheap gears with good sound 18.03.2024
I bought this product after checking the reviews, but contrary to the reviews, the unit I received (unfortunately) didn't meet the promised expectations. I bought another product from a well-known brand for thrice the price, and I saw the exact difference in silence between the cheap and expensive products.

Maybe it is actually the nature of this product, or I was unlucky and got an item of a problematic batch.

Wonderful, robust, low noise and features
Gobuddy 23.09.2022
If I had to design a fantasy mini power supply it would be:
* Robust
* Galvanically isolated to stop hum loops and noise
* Have 500 mA per outlet for current hangry digital pedals
* Have an IEC outlet so I can daisy chain it with my amp or other supplies rather than having lots of power leads - something that is just now being introduced on some high end supplies
This does all of those.
What's missing because nothing is perfect?
* A mounting kit for pedalboards would be useful

PF
Compact, quiet, efficient, tidy
Peter F. 779 23.02.2021
For my synths I have a number of Strymon pedals alongside utilities such as a guitar tuner for those old analogue synths. The PowerPlant lives quietly under my pedal stand and gives convenient tidy cabling with clean power to each pedal and device. A very under-rated ergonomic solution. The brushed metal finish is cool too...
