A bargain, but I would go with the ISO-2
RomanBirdDog 08.09.2019
It's good to be buying a power supply for a price that seems right! I had been using a daisy chain and it definitely is something else. I power 7 pedals, analog and digital (including a Line 6 M5 which originally comes with a 500 mA adapter) and it's dead silent. I don't know if it's truly isolated or not in the end but I have no reason to think otherwise (except the low price).

The unit looks very good, though I could do without the (bright) LEDs.
It's pretty compact, too.

The main annoying thing is about the cables: 1) they're all the same length, which means some are way too long, and 2) only one end is angled, so if it stays on-board, that eats a significant amount of space. This is made much worse by the fact that there are plugs on both sides of the unit (which at first seemed cool to me). For this reason, I am considering switching to the ISO-2.

Second time lucky?
Classamin 14.07.2024
I bought one of these power supplies for my small board, owing to the excellent price and decent reviews. The first I bought was a dud, and died within an hour of use (constantly dropping power) but Thomann quickly sorted me out with a replacement, which so far (touch wood!) has had zero issues and is working great. Nice slim unit for fitting under a flat board, plenty of power outlets and most importantly, zero noise or hum!

Cheap and useful
Josh Sørensen 22.07.2024
Now to be honest, I'm new to the pedalgame, and needed something cheap to set me up for the long term, and to those expectations, the ISO-1 Pro lived up to them. Now the individual 9v cables are a bit short. Though the 12v cable that supplies the power is long enough to make up for that.
The only other problem is that ive experienced it getting quite hot when left on for extended periods, even just with one pedal plugged, but it hasn't proved a bigger problem yet.

JW
Brilliant Pedalboard PSU
Jim White Weymouth 04.04.2020
I bought this to use with the Harley-Benton Spaceship 60 pedalboard (see separate review). I was first attracted by the price, which is roughly half that of the “name” brands (Voodoo Labs, for example, which I was originally looking at as I’ve owned one in the past). The ISO-1 Pro is a beautiful piece of kit (if such a thing can be called beautiful of course **ahem**) and is very well made and sturdy, with a brushed grey metal case. It has eight outlets, all capable of 500 mA (which is quite important for digital pedals, for example, but more for my Boss WL-50 wireless guitar pedal, which draws 300 mA when the transmitter is plugged into the pedal to charge). I’m very impressed with this thing so far; my only gripe is that the mains lead is a two-pin European type, but Thomann send a free UK adapter to solve that problem. I have yet to use the PSU/Pedalboard for a gig, mainly because of the current coronavirus situation, but as soon as I do I will update this review. Edit: I’ve now gigged with this set up many times and it hasn’t let me down once. I would give it the maximum score as a result but the lack of a UK three-pin plug and the need to use an adapter is still annoying, so it still loses one star.

Good little power bank
jayjop 25.09.2019
I've been using it for about a week now with no major issues. Very quiet, isolated outputs and the fact that it has 8 separate 500ma outputs is a win! No point in spending over £100 for a power supply when this does the job just as well. My only concern is that the unit has a very loud rattle coming from inside. Could be nothing but just a heads up if yours does also!

Good but not fulfilled all my expectations
PumpedDrummer 02.04.2023
I bought it to use with a few Boss 200 series pedals: it works for DD200 (225mA), MD200 (225mA) and OD200 (220mA) but IR200 (which according to Boss website draws 335mA) doesn’t work with it.. (it can work for like 10mins and then it goes down)

Now IR200 comes with the power supply so it’s not a big deal to continue using it, but I was hoping for that since this thing supposed to give 500mA per output I would be able to use it for all the four pedals..

Good quality, zero noice, needs angled cables
alex_v 03.04.2023
This looks and feels very trustworthy. I did some first checks for noise (small amp at home, big amp at studio, audio interface) and it is indeed more quite than a daisy chain setup. Bright LED lights will assure you that everything is connected to the unit. The design is slick and thin.

The only minus is the cables supplied with it. They look OK quality-wise but in my particular case, angled jacks on both ends would be better. I appreciate that they were included with the unit, though.

Does what it has to do
Pixolives 26.08.2019
I've been using this for a month and I have not had any problem with it. It feeds my nine pedals (inclunding a 300 mA digital pedal) with no problem (I feed the ninth through the Boss tuner) and almost no noise.
A warning for those who wish to use it with a Harley Benton pedalboard 50c or 50m (don't know about the others): it doesn't quite fit underneath with the cables and all the stuff. To make that work requires some DIY. Or you can go for a different power plant or a different pedalboard.

Well built, light and quiet but doesn?t fit my board
Ricky D 25.10.2018
This supply is really generous with how much current it can put out of each of its outputs, and the isolation seems legit. No noise with a mix of analog and digital pedals. As long as all of your pedals take 9v, this is an excellent supply. However, the design does not allow it to be mounted underneath a pedaltrain nano or mini. It is small and thin enough, but the plugs make the unit too wide to fit between the rails, even when using the right angle end.

excellent price/quality
Shoegazers 30.09.2022
have this for about 2 yrs.
no problems at all.
i like the small size.
real isolated, no noise.
I'd prefer an AC power supply cable but at this price range using the adapter is no issue.
TIP: Watch out with the thin adapter cable on stage. Better is to tie the adapter underneath the pedalboard and attach a long power cable straight out from the board.
