Power Issues Outside Europe

The Harley Benton PowerPlant ISO-12 Pro Power Supply is a good product. Just the thing for keeping noise out of your pedal board setup.

However, beware that it comes with a wall wart style power supply with a European input plug. While the box it comes in says there are USA, Europe, UK and AU plug choices, there aren't. The other plug choices are not available, and you don't get a power plug choice when you add the product to your cart. It would be nice if the product came with a wall wart that let you use the power plug type you need, as do many other products these days, but it doesn't. If you're in the USA, UK or AU, you'll need to use a plug adapter, or buy a suitable wall wart locally.

The other thing you may need to consider is that the 12 supplied power connection cables to go from the PowerPlant to your pedals are 60 cm long. On a pedal board for 12 pedals it wouldt be useful if some of the power connection cables supplied were longer (e.g. 90 cm).

If you want a low budget PowerPlant that fulfill your needs, this is the right one! It can supply most of the power hungry pedals available in the market today! An incontestable bargain for sure!

Really pleased with the power unit itself. And the inclusion of 12 power cables for each outlet seems obvious, but really helpful - and they are a good length. The unit itself is smaller than expected which is good in terms of fitting on a board BUT the power supply for it is bulky, and if you buy for UK or Ireland, then the addition of the EU / UK adaptor makes it even more cumbersome. So despite the power unit fitting neatly under my board, the actual power supply has to be carried separately. Functionally, it works perfectly - the power supply size is just a niggle.

Almost a 5* power supply

Short and sweet. Build quality is fantastic. It feels really solid and I've tested all the outputs and it's truly fully isolated. There's lots of power options available in the unit with the additional voltage outs and the high current on every output. I have a feeling that the bundled cables are simply of a lower quality than the main unit itself. I've had to get a pack of higher quality patch power cables as the included cables kept letting me down.

In terms of lower budget power supplies I think this might be the best option on the market.

Missing a power switch

In general it does the job very well and it fits perfectly the Harley Benton Spaceship. I recommend it. Two things I would change to make it even better:
- The only way to shut it down is to unplug it. It would be nice if there was a power switch on it
- The power cables have one angled connector and the other one straight. As the straight one does not fit under the Harley Benton Spaceship it means that all the angled connectors have to be used on the powerplant and all the straight connectors on the pedals. It would have been nice to have a mix of angled/straight and angled/angled cables.
