Impressive for the price
Kaiviti 13.04.2023
Up until now I had just the one large pedal board powered with a Strymon Zuma with an Ojai slaved off it. These provide very clean, quiet power and I'm really happy with them but I wanted to set up another board for trying new stuff out and swapping pedals in and out etc and obviously need a power supply for this. Before forking out for a more expensive solution, I thought I'd try one of these, the specifications look good for my use case and I didn't feel it was a risky choice since I'm sure Thomann's excellent customer service would have been happy to take it back in favour of a more expensive unit had this one not been suitable.

Firstly, although it doesn't contribute to the function at all, I will jsut say that the packaging is very nice and gives an initial good impression. Of course a nicely presented box is worthless in the device doesn't work well but still a nice touch. The power supply itself feels very solid, I'm pretty sure you could drive your band bus over it without it breaking which is always nice. It looks good too though again that is not really important since it won't be visible under a pedal board. In use it is wonderfully boring, just what you need from a power supply, no drama at all. I've had it powering a bunch of higher current digital and some older school analog pedals and I don't hear any odd noises (other than my playing ha ha). There seems to be plenty of power available, plugging devices that recommend a 500mA supply into one of the 250mA outlets just works (not that I recommend doing that long term) and just for 'research' I tried very briefly shorting out one outlet and as expected the indicator LED for that outlet went off to show the fault and once I removed the short it came back on and worked - perfect!

All in all I am quite impressed so far and feel this is very good value for money. I like having the IEC mains connector because I don't like having the rather flimsy wall warts and unlike some other comments here, I don't want an on/off switch on the power supply because it is more to go wrong and there is the potential to accidentally turn it off when playing. Also, I have no issue wit the length, flexibility or connectors on the leads, they seem reasonable quality and it is easy to buy replacements if you really want them. The case does get warm but not hot and I don't see that as an issue. Well worth checking out.

Bang for your buck Power
Kastone 14.03.2022
I was skeptical at first because of the low price, but after using it in gig situations and seeing that It was reliable and trusted it completely.
It’s flexible in case you have pedals that use more than 9V and for the size it has satisfactory outputs. A sturdy construction with a brushed aluminum finish l. The only downsize is the length of the power chord which could have been quite a bit longer.

Brilliant product for a great price
7 Dying Trees 06.04.2023
Let me start of by sayng that if it isn't made of metal, and if it hasn't got a mains AC input I am not interested. Running a seperate adaptor is rubbish.

So, seeing this after years of using voodoo power supplies, and after never seeing a fender fuel tank in stock, I decided to give this a chance.

And I'm glad I did, it has enough outputs for a medium board (10 pedals) without needing to compromise on chaining two outputs for more power hungry pedals like some digital delays (300-500mA). This has it covered.

Nice slimmer profile (fits better that the voodoo ones, i've mounted this on the thin end of my board underneath and it has plenty clearance to the floor). I am impressed, a great power supply, isolated outputs, good mA rating across them, all for less than 50% of the price of more well known brands.

The only thing that could make it better? having an AC output, as virtually no PSUs cater for stupid stuff like the older digitech whammy pedals and older voodoo switching systems that like AC.

But otherwise, this is great

Slim, sturdy, working great, and having no external power adapter is a great advantage on stage.

Bang for the bucks.
kubass666 07.01.2023
After perfect experiences with Harley Benton PowerPlant ISO-5 Pro I bought this one for my growing pedal board.

I am using it fully loaded and everything works perfectly. I don't observe any sound issues or fizz.

Note: I don't have direct comparison with high end PSUs but as mentioned I didn't observe any issues. Maybe one day when I find out my board is finished I will purchase some top PSU but I don't feel any need to rush.

Built Like a Tank
Grant Patrick 14.12.2020
I love this thing! Stuck it to the underside of my pedalboard with some velcro for a clean look and it is very clean!! The only thing I wish they had was right angle to right angle power cables but that's an easy amazon fix.

Pros:
-the adjustable voltage switches on the ends are great for wireless systems or preamp pedals.
-Plenty of plugs for expand ability and freedom
-Rugged and built like a tank I am not afraid of this ever breaking

Cons:
-it is a chonker so measure well and make sure you have enough clearance
-again, it is also a bit heavier so make sure it is secure or that your velcro is strong enough.

Good upgrade
Igor Thorpe 11.01.2023
Got this as an upgrade to the Joyo JP05 - needed a couple more outputs and wanted to run the board via a kettle lead rather than adaptors. Didn't need to modify the pedalboard at all - though larger than the Joyo, it's the same thickness. Noise-wise, no complaints at all. A winner.

Clean and reliable

I have 2 of these powering a big studio pedalboard, which includes several pedals with high power needs - strymon, hologram, even HX stomp (by using 2 outlets with an adapter). I never have to worry about power with these!

Better option than CIOKS
weyon 03.07.2024
Upgraded my CIOKS DC-5 to Harley Benton PowerPlant ISO-10AC Pro as I was getting more pedals with higher voltage and current consumption. I am not buying CIOKS anymore because it is over-priced especially, we have more cost-effective option which is PowerPlant from Harley Benton. I just wish they could make PowerPlant housing a bit thinner so that I would not need to modify rubber feet of Pedaltrain Metro.
