INSANELY good pedal for the price!
N?ck Namê 10.01.2023
I bought this pedal to use as my main distortion tone in a simple pedalboard rig. I was on a fairly tight budget but needed something usable so thought I’d give the Drop Kick a go, honestly not expecting much.

This thing is FANTASTIC, the mini toggle to switch between normal, soft and tense is a very nice feature, with a noticeable difference to sound (I find it sounds best on the tense setting with the volume maxed and the gain at about 2 or 3 o clock.) My only complaint is that the volume and tone knobs are a little tricky to adjust/read due to their small size, but this could be said of virtually any mini-pedal on the market so is barely worth mentioning.

Very well built pedal with a sturdy footswitch, and who doesn’t love purple!

Overall super happy with the purchase, sounds easily as good if not better than a pedal 3 or 4 times the price.

Buy this pedal!

Awesome!
Edgar Blackdagger 06.05.2023
I was pleasantly surprised, great Suhr Riot clone, the three modes are great, the natural compression of the distortion feels like an amp and the gain knob provides a huge range of distortion, even soft overdrive, which is VERY impressive for a pedal of any price tag.
Yes, it can be a bit too trebly, just like the Suhr, but the tone knob is useful and it helps when you put a soft overdrive in front of it, for me it's the Nobels ODR-1, they compliment each other immensely.
I don't know how long it will last, but I haven't found any weak spots yet.
Will buy another one for my bass rig.

Lovely pedal, Great sound with the True grit overdrive
Arkslippy 07.02.2023
Got this and a few others for my son for his first board, and it kicks ass no problem, great roaring sound but can also do little gritty as needed, works well with the true grit pedal (RAT type). Recommend and ridiculous price.

Really small, but delivers
Basementavocado 14.05.2023
I ordered this one as i needed distortion pedal. It's really small, knobs for volume and tone are tiny. But, everything works as it should. All parts seem of really good quality. I like how there are 3 sound presets (normal, soft and hard, can't remember the last one correctly). It's plug and play. Soundwise is good. I use it a lot.

Could it be the best overdrive pedal for just 20 bucks?
Dave T-Bone 01.09.2023
This one is a special one. Another masterpiece from the MiniStomp series, it earned its spot on my pedalboard on day 1. The 3 distortion modes are fantastic when stacking other overdrive pedals around it. It's a must if you like fat, juicy rhythm guitars.

Sturdy box, extremely compact, and a very low amperage consumption for such a big sound... and for 20 bucks! Absolute no-brainer.

Pro tip: Combine it with the Green Tint for the dirtiest, most gnarly array of overdrive tones.

sr
cathode bias distortion type!
santu ronzu 20.12.2023
similar to vox ac, cathode bias distortion! sounds and feels warm, I have been a guitarist for +25 years. This pedal is a killer bargain, if I think that some people spend 300 bucks on a distortion pedal when this one can give even these a very good run for the money.
-----

some people say this a clone of the pro co rat....what are they blathering about? the rat is a type of really crazy fuzz, instead as some eagle eyed people say, this is based (hate the word 'clone'....no one is making CLONES of anything) on the suhr riot, which makes complete sense: touch sensitivity (this harley benton has SUPERB touch sensitivity, even the light responds to your touch), 3 modes, of which the middle one has a mid boost , and even the colour is similar.

Someone says 'it's great, I don't know how long it will last though'. Well, as long as any other pedal made into a metal box will last. Duh. People don't get it: a pedal is a network of resistors and capacitors housed into an enclosure. The resistors and caps in the suhr aren't better than the ones in the Harley Benton: it's just resistors. The quality of these HB pedals is not only unrivalled at this price, it's incredible! for the price of 4 or 5 cheeseburgers you are buying a really great pedal. I am astonished at the incredible value, and grin thinking of people who spend 15 times as much to get something similar to this Harley Benton. I mean just buying the metal box from an electronics shop would probably cost you half of the cost of this excellent pedal. In short: Harley Benton ROCKS.
