Amazing Fun
UkuleleDad 26.11.2020
Disclaimer - I've only been playing for about 6 months so am no expert. This is my first electric instrument.

This ukulele is super fun, is very solid and produces a nice range of sounds through a suitable amp. Can be played like a traditional uke or be used to rock out. Nice to be able to play with headphones on to avoid disturbing others. The action is also very pleasing and is much easier to play than the other standard ukes I own (and actually led me to adjust those once I realised how much easier it is to play barre chords on this thing!).

It also looks lovely.

Very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone interested in a purely electric uke.

Not bad but not great
Dodgy D 17.04.2020
I'm an intermediate level uke player and got this for fun and so I can strum at night without disturbing the family.

Pros
Looks really nice
has aux in, headphone socket and traditional 1/4" jack.
Edit! I've had it a few weeks now and a new Corona Virus Lockdown positive is that it's good for Zoom sessions with others.
You can run the computer audio into your uke and then listen to the uke and the computer audio via headphones. Doing this gives you separate control over the volume of both the Zoom session and your uke so you can get a nice mix.

Cons
Action is very high. Bridge is too high for my taste.
The 'A' string is a bit too close to edge of neck so (my) fingers can slip off - tends to happen when doing 'pull-offs'.
The 'A' string is also a bit quiet when 'amped'. I've heard people online suggest that this can happen if the pickup is notbe lined up well - or just not a great pick-up.

For £100 it's OK but nothing to get too excited about.

Sweet lttle "devil"
Anonymous 03.11.2014
I was hardly expecting this ukulele to arrive. It came fast, well protected as always from Thomann and my first contact with this little beauty was very nice. It is well made, solid wood with extremely nice finish, no sharp edges, looking better then expected.
Action is a bit high, but had experience with much higher action on more expensive models. After tuning, fun started when plugged in. This uke is powerful. Really powerful. Volume and tone buttons work well, holds intonation so far, despite it is not set up fully. Very useful are AUX/MP3 inputs.
Since I already mention action, this can easily be set with some minor setup, which will also remove slight presence of buzz on 2nd fret of the C string, which can be heard while playing unplugged and is not transmitted to the amp.

Overall, a special little beast, real eye-catcher and soft and easy to play! I do recommend!

DK
Quite nice instrument

I am surprised with the quality of sound from the strings. It is pleasant enjoying the Uke practice every night in my apartment without interfering with my neighbors' sleeping.

The only thing that makes me annoyed is that there's a white noise from the earphone jack in all range of the volume setting. I tried with 4 different types of headphones and earphones but I could not cancel the noise.
I am not sure if it is the normal phenomenon of every electric instrument. I hope I could have a solution for the earphone noise.

I have not tried it with an amplifier yet, therefore hopefully there might be better sound with plugging in.

A joy to play
Kie77 25.11.2021
I'm an intermediate ukulele player and love to practice every night. The problem is, I don't want to disturb my family. I thought I'd give this electro uke a try and WOW. It has exceeded my expectations.
It looks amazing, it's really nice to handle. I find it really easy to barre chords, to slide up and down the neck. Hammer ons and pulls offs are a breeze. If you're into harmonics, they are so easy and sound so nice on this ukulele.
I plug my headphones into a tiny amp that plugs straight into the ukulele and it sounds amazing.
For me though, I just want to get that muscle memory and be able to practice as loud as I like without causing any disturbance. I actually just play it acoustically most of the time.
I play this much more than my more expensive traditional concert ukulele.
If ever this is released as a Tenor with a 38mm nut width, I'd be tempted to get that too.
For me as someone who just wants to practice and practice without driving the family mad, this has been the best thing I have ever bought. Thomann are a pleasure to deal with too - great customer service.

S
great purchase for the price
SaraEcheverry 01.03.2018
I tried it with headphones and amplifier and it works really good. Sometimes the high pitch notes are hard to hear in the amplifier, but it might be a thing of the ampli itself.
I like the design and sound. It is all that I need right now. For the price, I think it is a very good investment (and I have also ordered the elite case and other accessories already).
I love it

D
Superb little uke!
DaveRo 29.04.2019
I've wanted a ukulele for a good while now but didn't want to spend a fortune on one. I'm a guitarist/bassist of about 25 years' experience, so I can generally pick up stringed instruments and play them without bother, and this little gem was no different - it's solid, sounds great even acoustically (albeit quieter than an acoustic uke), has a great action and feel, plugs in and records well, and you can plug in headphones to disappear off into your own ukulele-filled audio world. Would highly recommend this instrument.

A
excellent product, very pleased
Anonymous 04.05.2016
ordered on a Thursday evening and was delivered on the following Monday morning very well packed, very impressed.

Previously owned an Eleuke Peanut electric ukulele which I was not impressed with so I didn't hold out much hope for this one but was totally proved wrong, the quality of the uke is excellent, set up was pretty much spot on, no adjustments needed, sound through both the headphones and an amp is very good. Great instrument for late night silent practice. If your looking for a reasonably priced electric ukulele you can't go far wrong this one

Nice
abcalypso 14.01.2019
Though it will likely need a fair amount of setting up to be comfortable, this instrument performs very well. Personally, I find the neck a bit flat...sort of Les Paul/Gibson-style...but many will find this preferable.
I placed a small slither of thin wood under the neck attachment plate as well lowered the bridge-action. If you are up to some small jobs...or want to start simple adjustment, this solid-body instrument is a good place...but remember, 'modding' means no returning the product afterwards.

By the way...don't you find it odd that this company seems to work better than others on so many levels...it is beyond me why or how they get things right in customer service where others fail?

Good luck with your purchases...good return policy if things don't work out.

Bought for the father-in-law. He loves it as he can now compete with the guitar's playing through practice amps.
