Looks like I had the first X-mas turkey..

After reading all the raving reviews about this guitar and knowing that it is an all solid body my expectations were quite high.

The guitar arrived in 4 days, all great on Thomann?s side.

Appearance:
The finish is beautiful, the guitar looks very tame in the photos but up close it?s very arrtactive. I found no blemishes at all, perfect condition.

Set-up:
Action was well set up and guitar is relatively comfortable t play considering the wider neck of 45mm.
However!! I immediately noticed a buzzing on the upper strings, D, A, E! It appears that cetrain notes - specifically the Es cause a resonance and buzzing within the guitar. I brought it to a lutier who adjusted the action and played around a bit but it did not fix this problem.

Unfortunately, as is the guitar is unplayable and I will send it back to THomann.

Sound:
Considering it is a full body and using the daddario exp16 I must say I am disappointed especially on the bass side.
The highs have great sustain, if you play a slow solo it almost seems like you are using a reverb pedal on them.
However, the bass strings sound very flat and are lacking the body I wanted.
Admittedly I haven?t changed the strings, as I did not want to make that investment considering I will send the guitar back, but still I feel like they might not be the problem...

Hardware:
I have not plugged in the guitar, so I cannot opine on that, but I am not a fan of this tuner. It does not seem all that accurate and I far prefer the tuner on a guitar such as the Epiphone ej200ce.

All in all, I genuinely hope this was merely bad luck as I expected a higher quality and good setup on HB?s part.

Didn't stand the test of time.
Tunein 15.03.2023
I liked the sound of this guitar and although the back and side woods didn't look that good I decided to keep it on that basis.
I always felt that it was lightly built and that the sound board was thin which probably contributed to the good sound quality.
I put lighter strings (10s) on this guitar from new as I felt it was not built strong enough to support heavy syrings.
After two years the sound board has bellied considerably and am worried about the guitars future.
I feel that I would not be that keen on a replacement as this might be a design issue with this lightly built guitar.
