First thing that i am going to write is an advice. Do not input the battery inside the bass for active pickups, save it for when i wanna impress someone and practice with passive pickups.
The bass has a clean sound, i have been using it for 3 weeks, i have not had any problem until now.

The finish is beautiful, black and glossy, I might paint a couple of skulls myself and make it perfect for black metal. It came without any crack or visible dent and it was tuned pretty well expect the E, it was tuned too low but i will blame that to the transportation.

The packing was good, it seemed secure.

It sounds more rock-like than jazz-like in my opinion. It has a small problem at the 8-th fret e string, it sounds buzzy. It might just be my bazz but again i am just reporting a problem. It does not really mater to me because i can count it with my 10 fingers the amount of times that i will use e-8 in metal.

The sound is clean, the knobs for sound control work well, the tuners work without problem it is a fine bass.

My last words are that this bass is worth every cent of 140 euro. This is too good for that much actually. The same quality of bass but a fender was 400 dollars in a local shop and you find that kind of bad behaviour to us bass players from merchants all around by supercharging us for an extra 4 inches of wood.
Thomas does not do that!

Not only the prize is the deal
KStaev 16.05.2020
I bought this one because I am a guitarist and I need bass to record demos in my home studio. As an owner of two guitars I was kind of skeptic what I will get for a prize this low. Anyway the bass is great and features a lot of cool stuff. It looks very good and feels great. The quality is much much more than you can expect for the prize. The tunners are good, the knobs are perfect. The pickups sound good through the software I use. The neck is accessable and it's not so thick so it's good if you are with short fingers. Great bass for beginners or a studio instrument.

Not my favorite but still a great bass
nabilhuakbar 20.05.2020
I got this one because I was curious more so than anything else.

The good: finish is excellent, and it's a very nice looking bass guitar. It's lightweight and very well balanced. Passive mode is great, and you can adjust bass and treble in passive as well as active. Came setup perfectly out of the box, all it needed was to be tuned.

The not so good: Active mode doesn't do much extra. Tone is so-so (but still above what you'd expect at this price range), but you can get a decent variety of sounds with the controls. I'd replace the pickups and preamp personally, but you can get by just fine with what's onboard. Fit and finish aren't fantastic...at first I thougth the neck was out of alignment with the body, but it turns out it was just a fit and finish thing. Tuners are so-so.

Definitely worthwhile as a first bass, backup bass, or an upgrade platform. I wouldn't rank it up there with the JB series, PJ series, or TB series but you still get excellen bang for the buck here.

Great buy, regardless of price!
Anonymous 11.08.2016
I've owned this bass exactly one month now, and after playing it every day since I decided it was time to leave a little feedback.

First I have to say I was pleased with the quality of packing and shipping. I received mine 6 days from the day I ordered it. That's 6 days from Thomann to my front door in the USA, amazing! It came double boxed, well packed, and damage free.

I'm still considered a novice bass player. I shopped around for several weeks looking at Squier, Ibanez, Epiphone, etc, before I decided on the B-450. I do not regret my decision in the least! Its a great bass and can easily compete in price brackets far above what it costs.

Pros: Was perfectly set up from the factory. After tuning it I found the intonation, neck relief, and action perfect. It is well balanced. The tone, volume, and balance pots are smooth and noise-free. Frets are well contoured and smooth. The tuners are accurate and have no problems keeping tune. Overall very solid construction.

Cons: The strings aren't the greatest. The tuner nuts needed snugged down after a few weeks of use.

This bass delivers an good punch with active microphones.
kimme 06.09.2020
This bass delivers an punch with their active microphones, but the passive mode isn't too sloppy without some batteries in the compartment.

The neck is good, even with sweaty hands and the full neck is playable all the time.

The active mode sound is loud and clear, and the passive mode is rich and meaty with some adjusting on the balance, bass and treble knobs.

The setup of this bass is easy. Just use some steelwool on the frets if you want some easy shredding on the bass, and oil the neck with some lemon oil once in a while for easy maintenance of this bass.

Surprisingly good quality
Le Medecin 07.07.2019
Bought this so I could add a bit of bass to home recordings. I am not a bass player and only an average guitar player so was looking for something inexpensive to add to the instruments I use for home recording. 24 fret, twin humbucker, active electronic bass for less than €150? It arrived in tune and we'll set up. Nice weight and feel to it, satin finish to the neck and solid enough to know it's well built. It might not have the widest tone spectrum in the world but it can do deep and it can do funky and a fair amount of tones in between. This is excellent value for the price. At less than 150 euros this is a steal. Chuffed. well done Thomann.

Great for starters!
Robbe V. 23.01.2021
In short: this bass + a great set of strings = amazing!

Bought this bass very impulsively, not researching a lot with no prior knowledge to any string instrument. Only played sax for a few years before.
I have now had this bass for almost 2 years and I am NOT disappointed. It really got me into music.

I don't really remember the strings that were on it, but currently I've got some Ernie Balls on it and everyone that has played my bass has said that I really got some great bang for this buck!

Would definitely buy this again

Awesome Bass for it's value!
RuiFranca 24.07.2017
I have received this bass a week ago and have been playing it everyday!

Pros: Great sound, would never expect to sound that good for the price I have paid, nice look and very comfortable to play.

Cons: I think the string that come with the bass are not very good quality and I would recomend you to change them asap. the knobs could be also a bit more sturdy.

Overall it's an awesome bass and I have researched a lot before investing in this one, but putting all pros and cons, this ended up being the best investment for my bedroom studio!

Really Happy with Thomann Service so far!

Good beginner buitar

Started learning to play with this guitar and it has served me fairly well in terms of getting started, the overall build quality is very good for an instrument of this price and the sound isn't half bad either my main problem is with the D shape neck which I found caused me some pain in my thumb after extended playing sessions that I didn't experience when playing my friend's C shape neck bass, however, this may just be a problem for me and probably doesnt affect everyone
