Fun but noisy
Moonkid 13.03.2019
This is a quick and cheap solution for anyone looking for this kind of "british" sound, but the noise really gets in the way and with time I just stop using. It's still fun to try different tones.

Some technical problem with footswitch
Anonymous 12.02.2017
I must say that this thing can create a nice tube sound with lots of headroom. As for the sound quality, I have no complaints. The sound is really surprisingly good. Overall, I can?t be very satisfied with this effect, because it has one major drawback. There is some kind of problem with footswitch. After pressing it (on or off), it is followed by a strong blow from the speakers, even I am afraid that I might blow up speakers at higher volumes of amplifier. The problem occurs immediately by the first use. This issue make impossible to use this thing live; and at home, it is also very annoying. That?s a pity, I practically don?t use it. I believe that this problem has only my piece. I also own Brtitish TrueTone and American TrueTone pedals and there everything works OK.

ac not for me
Anonymous 12.06.2014
Bought this because it was not expensive.
It was supposed to sound like a Vox amplifier. People on the internet manage to do that, but they play through a computer. With my guitar amplifier i can't get the vox sound i like out of it.
You can get different sounds out of it, and it reacts wel on turning of the knobs.
To me it's to much shrill mids with a stratocaster.
Construction is ok, sometimes it crackles a bit, the input could have taken a hit while rehearsing with it.

So: the workmanship is good, and i don't like the sounds. For this little money it doesn't matter. For computer players it could sound different...

btw The American True tone sounds very different, so there is a pedal for everyone i guess.
