I've had 2 Guild acoustics before, which I tinkered with to get the action to my liking, but this is the first electric/hollow body I have had from Guild.
Guild just seems to work for me,
build quality is good.
everything works out of the box.
I haven't touched the action on this yet. it plays out of the box, the only thing I will change is the strings to my preferred ones.
the neck is slim, but comfortable to grip.
tone & volume are easy to grip & use.
nothing gets in the way, so you can strum & play licks with ease.
I bought the dc cherry red, which is nice, but each to their own.
its about the same size as a orchestra model acoustic but alot thinner.
I don't mind that but it will give people a size comparison.
being hollow it has more resonance than an electric guitar so you can play it unplugged, but don't expect t it to sound as loud as an acoustic.
I do think you get what you pay.
for those who want something that plays out of the box, it works
build equality is good.
action is good.
for the fact I had had 3 guilds say's they are a good guitar maker.
I have also bought all 3 guilds from Thomann.
so guild & Thomann seems a good mix.
