Received this today and unboxed. Very well packaged, no damage to guitar or the Thomann case that I bought to go with it. The guitar is very well made and finished. A few seconds tuning (it had travelled from Germany to UK after all) and it was all done. Setup seems great, action good, intonation good. The extra two strings (octave paired on third and fourth strings ) give the guitar a great, full sound whilst the B to b tuning paired with the jumbo body and arched back delivers some stunning lows. Plugged in, the Fishman preamp and pickup delivers a really full sound through my Fishman Loudbox Artist amp. Almost like they'd been designed to work together ;-)
Very pleased with my purchase. First Guild guitar I have bought (although I have seen others playing Guilds and always liked the sound).

This guitar has a really nice full sound unplugged but becomes much fuller when plugged in. The action is quite manageable and the doubling of the middle strings gives a nice full almost 12 string effect. When playing live I found I needed quite clear monitoring from the guitar as the doubled strings can lack the clarity you get from a six string but what it lacks in crispness it makes up for in fullness. The quality of the pick up was a nice surprise as well - it mightn’t be the guitar you’d use for a whole gig but definitely adds variety for those folky songs in your repertoire.
