Studio bass?

I was looking for a bass to record and produce with budget that I had, was skeptical because of price range, yet still, the feel and sound was important to me for that reason.
I am reviewing this after putting new strings and making setup, both is -mandatory-

Total: It is great instrument, both considering the price and by itself, a huge jump from less expensive basses but misses that last 15% that comes from top end basses, which is expected - 4 stars

Features: Got everything you need, no more, no less - 4 stars

Sound: I use it with flatwounds. Sounds excellent, has its own character, there is no high noisefloor on these singlecoils. Great for studio recordings. - 5 stars

Quality: Bit heavier then what I expected, and after making a setup, it can play like a breeze. Tuners hold well. All in all feels great but not superb - 4 stars

I do recommend this bass for those not willing/able to spend a grand+ and generally to those looking for a short scale, or a bass for studio/home studio.
