Seit einiger Zeit bin ich stolzer Besitzer eines Gretsch Catalina-Maple-Sets in Walnut Glaze Ausführung. Ich wusste, das Schlagzeug verträgt noch ein zweites Floor-Tom. Und ich habe das passende bei Thomann gefunden! Das 14er Stand-Tom hat mich sofort begeistert. Die Verarbeitung ist einfach klasse, der Sound ist satt und warm. Dabei habe ich allerdings ein wenig nachgeholfen. Ein Evans E-Ring 14" nimmt störende Obertöne weg. Das habe ich übrigens auch bei den anderen Toms so praktiziert. Neben dem 16er Stand-Tom ist das 14er eine gelungene Ergänzung bzw. Aufwertung des gesamten Sets.
