Golden Age Audio Project Rack-Kit

It is a great rack for using the Golden Age Project preamps in, but it was a bit too tight an crammed because of which I made some scratches on my preamps to be able to fit both of them in there. But the build quality is good overall. Sturdy.

Yes it is not the cheapest rack ark you can get. If you own an other Golden Age Project device, yeah you can also buy a cheaper one and drill the holes for yourself. But it will not be the same. First of all it comes in the same beautiful red as this original ones. Then it also comes with metal bend for the gap between two Golden Age Devices. If you are more the pragmatic pay only for usefull things-guy then go for cheaper ones. If the look is also importent for you than go for it. So it its up to you if it is worth the money. For me it is!

It’s well made, holds the units securely and presents any of the related pre, EQ and compressor half rack models from GAP very nicely.

It is a bit expensive for a rack tray, but it fits the 4 pre-73s really well. made my rack look really clean using this tray!

Very sturdy. They could have made one spare part to fit the two units in the middle, but the result is great.

The GAP Pre 73 is great value but has quite sharp corners, no rubber feet and slips and slides around scratching all in its path.
The Pre73 has M3 holes in the sides for mounting in a tray but standard rack trays don't usually have any suitably aligned holes. This GAP tray is a perfect fit and comes with all the screws needed for mounting two GAP boxes. The finish is excellent, the colour a perfect match and there is a little filler to hide the space between two devices.
Worth the price.
