I own 2 of these cases. One holds Arturia Keylab 88, and the other Novation Impulse 61 + audio interface and accessories. They are used 3-4 times a week for gigs all over the country.

Lifting and moving them around isn't hard, they are fairly light and the handles seem pretty solid. Wheels make the job much easier without sacrificing any van space with their positioning. The case is bulky of course, but it seems compact enough and without any wasted space.

The interior is nice and soft, you can re-arrange any inserts to your liking,(there are 4 types of them) which have convenient velcros attached. There are also small velcros strips, which I personally use to strap any spare cables.

I have no doubts about the durability of these cases so far, but the real problem I noticed is heat and direct sunlight. I left one of the cases in intense heat in my SUV in those conditions for and hour and when I got back I found it slightly deformed. Forming sort of a bubble on the main wall. Once I opened the car doors and gently pressed on the bubble and it cooled down it went to its normal shape without any trace. The equipment inside suffered no damage. I suppose there is a warning about it somewhere in case's documentation or on Gator's website, so I won't hold it against them. It is plastic after all and nothing's fully fool-proof.

To sum up - if you are in search for good looking, compact, proper hardcase with highly customizable, modular interior, this model deserves a closer look!

J
Perfect for Arturia Keylab 88 mkii
JOleg 01.12.2019
This is a very well thought case. It is very spacious. I have Arturia Keylab 88 mkii which easily fits. There is also plenty of room for other things, like cables, pedal, etc.. The interior is designed in such a way, that no matter if your keyboard is smaller than the case (length/height/width), there are special padding materials (including on the vertical axis) which will allow you to customize the interior to fit your instrument, so that it doesn't move when the case is locked. It was a pleasure configuring it. There are several velcros included as well. The case, though, is very heavy on its own. However, it has wheels so you can roll it on the floor. It can also be carried by 2 persons from both sides as there are handles from each side. If you seek for good protection for your instrument, this one is a solid choice. I would buy again.

It's an amazing case but it's not 137 cm long inside
RiRiRi 01.09.2021
Amazing case! Great quality, very well built, very secure, looks smooth and all locks work great. Unfortunately, it is definitely not 137 cm long inside and my keyboard didn't fit. Very sad to return but I would totally buy it for a different keyboard one day.

LE
Gator Keyboardcase
Laurence E. 24.07.2013
I've been using this case for a year now with my Korg sp250, and it fits perfectly in the case, with the sustain pedal and power supply. It's rock solid and hasn't given any trouble, and I certainly wouldn't be worried about the keyboard getting damaged in it, but it is quite heavy once the board is inside. It has developed some scratches and gouges from being manhandled, but nothing too serious, and at the end of the day that's the purpose of the case anyway.
