Squier Mini Stratocaster IL PK

Honestly, I was in doubt to buy this guitar for my 5 years old daughter birthday after reading all the bad reviews about mini Strat. Despite this, I decided to go head and when arrived it was a surprise.
Great packaging from Thomann, top quality as always. My daughter was super happy to get this jewel, it looks amazing! I started to check playability and doing some little adjustments. Straightforward, I changed the strings passing from 0.09 set to 0.10 set and added some graphite to the nut. The guitar action was already good as well as intonation. The pickups sounds is very high quality in all the positions, frets can be sanded to improve the neck feeling. I have played it for a while and after 3 weeks I have to say that the guitar stay in tune but need to avoid extreme bending techniques. This could be improved maybe replacing factory tunings with locking tuning but it would be too expensive.
Overall I have to say, it's a little great guitar and my daughter love to play it. If you are looking for a first guitar (not a toy guitar) for your kids go head and get one of this.
