As another reviewer also mentioned: This guitar is - in my view - not ready to rock straight out of the box. The saddles were not set to the correct radius and some saddle screws rattled as a result of this. The tremolo arm also had some play in its fitting, but after plugging it in I was soon dissuaded from returning the guitar; the neck feels great, the pickups sound good, I like the way the guitar hangs on its strap and the coil-split adds useful sounds that I can see myself using in a band context.
After playing and hearing the guitar I decided to spend some time setting the guitar up properly (instead of returning it) and all the buzzes and rattles are now gone! Would I recommend this guitar to other buyers? Yes, the bare bones are really good but -unlike the US-made Fenders - this one needs a bit of TLC to get it going. Once set up properly, this is a wonderful guitar with a thick, fat yet clear sound that still has some of that 'jangliness' that Jazzmasters are known for.
UPDATE 02-02-2020: I cannot get over how good this guitar sounds! Get one now before Fender realise they're letting them go too cheap!
